Patent number: 11033228Abstract: A wearable fatigue alert device includes a housing that is secured to a wristband. The device includes one or more sensors that are located on the wristband. When the device is worn over a wrist, the one or more sensors are configured to obtain biofeedback data from a wearer for determining the fatigue status of the wearer. The device includes a circuit board having a microprocessor that is in communication with the one or more sensors. The one or more sensors collect and communicate the biofeedback data of the wearer to the microprocessor, which generates an alert signal (e.g., vibration, sound, light) that notifies the wearer that they are becoming fatigued. The microprocessor uses Electrodermal Activity (EDA) technology for evaluating the fatigue status of the wearer.Type: GrantFiled: October 4, 2019Date of Patent: June 15, 2021Assignee: Centenary UniversityInventors: Kyle Maris, Jeff Rottingen, Matilda Poisseroux, Colin Hudson, Eddie Medina

Patent number: 9774407Abstract: A test apparatus is configured to perform non-determinative testing of equipment. The test apparatus comprises a test computer arranged to automatically execute a non determinative test regime under the control of a test application. A network simulator connected to the test computer is provided with communication circuitry operable to communicate with the equipment under test. The network simulator is configurable into different network states according to the non-determinative test regime, and the test application is operable to control the network simulator to transition between a plurality of different network states. Data about unscripted communications between the network simulator and the equipment under test is monitored and can be analyzed to reach a test verdict.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2013Date of Patent: September 26, 2017Assignee: Keysight Technologies Singapore (Holdings) Pte. Ltd.Inventors: Colin Hudson, Michael O'Gara

Patent number: 4099365Abstract: A method and apparatus for cleaning and topping a swath of at least partially cut flattened leafy green sugar cane wherein the apparatus, towed behind a propelling vehicle, is passed over the swath of cane for successively performing the steps of gathering the swath, lifting it from the bround on which it lies, pulling the individual canes top first from the swath, supporting the stalk of each cane as it is pulled from the swath, accelerating the cane rearwardly of the direction of travel of the vehicle, and restraining the top of each cane while continuing to move the stalk rearwardly to cause the top to break away from the stalk.Type: GrantFiled: October 14, 1976Date of Patent: July 11, 1978Assignee: F.W. McConnel LimitedInventor: John Colin Hudson

Patent number: 3945177Abstract: A method of cutting sugar cane comprising the steps of passing in one direction through the growing cane a vehicle having mounted thereon two upwardly extending power driven combing elements spaced apart across the width of the vehicle; combing a narrow stretch of cane between the combing elements; flattening the cane beneath a flattening element mounted on the vehicle to the rear of the combing elements and spaced above the ground to extend transversely to the one direction; and severing the cane at its base by power driven rotating ground-following cutting means mounted on the vehicle to the rear of the flattening element.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 1974Date of Patent: March 23, 1976Assignee: F. M. McConnell Ltd.Inventors: Donald Alan Scott, Colin Hudson
