  • Publication number: 20250038553
Abstract: A charging box has a housing with first and second ends, charging bays, a cover, and a lock assembly. The charging bays are between the first end and the second end. Each of the charging bays removably receives a battery pack in an insertion direction. The cover pivots on the housing nearer to the second end than to the first end. The cover moves between an open position and a closed position. The lock assembly includes a staple, a slot in the cover, a protrusion coupled to the housing adjacent the staple, and a tether coupled to the housing. The staple is nearer to the first end than to the second end. The staple receives a padlock. The slot receives the staple therethrough. The tether has a distal end with a loop. The loop is receivable about the protrusion.

  • Publication number: 20240347286
Abstract: Adapters for a power tool are backwards compatible with a variety of different power tools, battery packs, and other power tool devices. The power tool pack adapter fits between a power tool and a battery pack (or other such power tool devices) and provides extra functionality (e.g., voice control, cameras, machine learning, etc.) to a power tool or other power tool device. The added functionality can be implemented by a dedicated electronic controller and/or processor in the power tool pack adapter.

  • Publication number: 20240106252
Abstract: A portable power unit includes a base module, a pair of wheels coupled to the base module, and a main core battery disposed in the base module. A portable charger is removably coupled to the base module and includes a charger core battery, a battery receptacle electrically coupled to the charger core battery and configured to mechanically and electrically couple to a battery pack, and a cover movable to selectively allow access to the battery receptacle. The main core battery is electrically couplable with the charger core battery or the battery receptacle.

  • Publication number: 20230137229
Abstract: A clamping tool, such as pliers, is provided. The clamping tool includes a pair of handles that each have a grip section connected to a neck section. A pivot joint connects the neck sections to each other, such that when the grip sections move with respect to one another, the neck sections pivot about the pivot joint. The neck sections are configured to cross one another at a location spaced apart from the pivot joint when the grip sections are drawn sufficiently close to one another.

  • Publication number: 20220379443
Abstract: A screwdriver includes a shank, a ratchet assembly, and a handle. The shank includes a shank extender that in an extended position lengthens the shank and in a retracted position is stored within the handle of the screwdriver. The ratchet assembly includes a knob and is configured to drive in the same direction the knob is turned. The screwdriver includes a locking mechanism to prevent unwanted movement of the shank between the extended and retracted positions. The handle of the screwdriver includes a storage space to hold alternative screwdriver bits and a stabilizing component to decrease movement of the handle when the storage portion is in an extended or open position. In a closed position the handle surrounds the alternate bits and in an open position the alternate bits are exposed.

  • Publication number: 20220352734
Abstract: A charging module is configured to be removably coupled to a mobile work cart. The charging module includes a housing having a first end, a second end, a front side, and a rear side. The housing defines a cavity in the front side and includes a charging bay located within the cavity. The charging bay is configured to removably receive a battery pack to electrically connect the battery pack to the charging module. The charging module also includes a clamp coupled to the rear side of the housing. The clamp includes a handle portion and an arm. The clamp is movable relative to the housing between a deployed position and a retracted position. The clamp is biased toward the retracted position. The housing defines a recess in the rear side. When the clamp is in the retracted position the arm is received within the recess.
