  • Patent number: 6022134
Abstract: A container comprises a flexible main chamber and a mixing chamber positioned above the main chamber and including a passage way into the main chamber. A removable plug selectively seals the passage way so that after the main chamber is filled with a first material, the plug can be inserted into the passage way and the mixing chamber filled with a second material. A cap closes the mixing chamber and selectively engages the plug so that after the cap has been placed on the mixing chamber, removal of the cap will also unseal the passageway causing the tow materials to be mixed in the main chamber. A dispensing chamber having an outlet spout is also provided in the container. A filling tube within the container connects the main chamber to the dispensing chamber.

  • Patent number: 6015934
Abstract: An individually wrapped absorbent article such as a sanitary napkin which is simple, compact, sanitary, and easy to unwrap for use and to dispose of after use. The absorbent article avoids the need for a separate peel strip and pouch because it is provided with a wrapper that can be folded into a pouch. Substantially the entire backsheet of the absorbent article directly faces the wrapper and is secured to it to form an assembly. In the case of a winged or tabbed type absorbent article, this configuration obviates the need for a separate peel strip to cover the garment adhesive located on the wings or tabs. The assembly is wrapped by folding the lateral flaps thereof longitudinally over one another to enclose the article to prevent the garment adhesive from becoming contaminated. The package is then tri-folded laterally to form an e-shaped pouch. Wrapping and folding are performed by an in-line process that uses simple equipment and that does not require reversal in the direction of article conveyance.

  • Patent number: 4784300
Abstract: A device for dispensing a predetermined, measured quantity of liquid from an inverted bottle incorporates a delay mechanism whereby a plunger within the measuring chamber is held in an open condition for a predetermined period of time sufficient to ensure delivery of the entire contents of the measuring chamber. The delay mechanism is associated with a linkage system whereby an operating member disposed adjacent to the outlet of the measuring chamber is coupled to the plunger and comprises a piston which is driven in a cylinder by a spring at a rate determined by the rate at which a fluid flows through a restricting orifice.
