  • Publication number: 20220162627
Abstract: The invention provides cereal plants having a high level of fructan useful for the production of a range of food, beverage, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical products. The invention provide, methods of producing high-fructan products from plants modified to comprise a reduced level of an endogenous polypeptide with starch synthase activity, and products so produced. In some embodiments, plants are modified by introduction of an agent such as a nucleic acid molecule which down regulates endogenous starch synthase II gene expression.

  • Patent number: 10574641
Abstract: Described is a technology by which a plug-in (e.g., an ActiveX® control) instantiated by a web browser calls functions of a credential service to use a set of credential data (e.g., a card file) for logging into a website. If the credential service determines that a previously used card file for the website exists, a representation of that card file is displayed in the browser, and the data of that card file is used to obtain a token for logging in the user. If not found, an icon is presented instead, by which the user can select a user interface that allows selection of another card file that meets that meet the website's requirements.

  • Publication number: 20160201707
Abstract: A fixing member, for adhering in use to a substrate part to fix a fixed part to the substrate part (110), comprises: a base (105); and a fixing formation (104) on a top side of the base, the fixing formation (104) being complementary to another fixing member (103) of the fixing. The base (105) has a concavity in its underside for accommodating adhesive for adhering it to the substrate part (110) in use; and at least one stop on its underside for stopping its approach to the substrate. On application of the base (105) to the substrate (110) with the interposition of adhesive therebetween, the adhesive will spread to a thickness determined, when the stop is in contact with the substrate, by the depth of the concavity.

  • Patent number: 8121569
Abstract: Techniques involving the generation of signals at particular frequencies are disclosed. For instance, an apparatus may include an oscillator module, a synthesizer module, and a control module. The oscillator module produces an oscillator signal having a first frequency. From the oscillator signal, the synthesizer module produces an output signal having a second frequency. A frequency multiplier corresponds to the first and second frequencies. The control module selects the first frequency and the frequency multiplier such that a difference between the second frequency and a nearest integer multiple of the first frequency is greater than a predetermined threshold. As a result, reductions in spurious outputs may be achieved.

  • Patent number: 8016323
Abstract: The self-adhesive label (3) is provided on a web of siliconised polyester liner (4) and has a base label (30) with an upper printable surface and a lower adhesive coated surface and at least one patch of release material (38) located between the base label (30) and the web of siliconised polyester liner (4). By forming the patches of release material (38) on the adhesive surface of the base label (30) and then applying a siliconised polyester liner (4) over the patches (38) and the exposed adhesive surface of the base label (30), the resultant self-adhesive label is more robust and as the siliconised polyester liner (4) has a substantially continuous upper surface, the risks of snagging as a result of edges and windows in the web of backing material is avoided.
