  • Patent number: 5599442
Abstract: New and improved processes and compositions for use in flotation recovery of metal values from base metal zinc sulfide ores are disclosed. The collector compositions for froth flotation of metal sulfide minerals comprise the combination of combination of 1) at least one allylalkylthionocarbamate compound having the formula ##STR1## wherein R is a C.sub.2 to C.sub.8 alkyl radical, preferably R is an isobutyl group, and 2) a xanthate having the formula ##STR2## wherein R' is a C.sub.2 to C.sub.8 alkyl radical, preferably a C.sub.4 radical. More preferably, the C.sub.4 radical of the xanthate is a butyl or isopropyl group. Preferably, the concentration of allylalkylthionocarbamate to xanthate of a ratio of from about 1:99 to about 50:50 percent by weight.
