  • Patent number: 11660409
Abstract: An electronic module for an inhaler includes a printed circuit board and electronic components configured to detect at least a status and/or at least a working parameter of the inhaler when the electronic module is attached to the inhaler. A battery is permanently joined to the printed circuit board. A first terminal and a second terminal are electrically connectable one to the other through a main switch to close a circuit between the battery and the electronic components. In a rest configuration, the first and second terminals are electrically separated by the main switch. In a work configuration, the first terminal and the second terminal are electrically connected one to the other through the main switch.

  • Patent number: 10293667
Abstract: Provided is a rearwardly-pivoting door having a pivoting arc in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle. The door may be pivotally coupled with the vehicle by a hinge assembly at a rear portion of the door and a front portion is slidably engaged in a channel receiver when the door is in a closed position. The hinge assembly and channel receiver resist lateral movement of the door to maintain an occupant within a seating area of the vehicle. One or more securing devices may be utilized to maintain the door in an opened or closed position. The securing device may be mechanical and/or magnetic.

  • Patent number: 8090657
Abstract: A system for authentication of financial transactions using a remote terminal includes apparatus for sampling a unique biological identifier of a system user. The system has particular relevance to credit card or other electronic funds transfer transactions whereby the user may complete a transaction over the Internet, or at a merchant's remote terminal by using a unique biological identifier in place of the credit card. The unique biological identifier is preferably a finger print which is read by a camera at the personal computer or remote terminal. The image is digitized and forwarded to a clearing house to identify the appropriate account for the required transaction to be processed.

  • Publication number: 20050243200
Abstract: A low cost video recording apparatus for one time recording on a recording medium, comprises a casing (15) which houses a video cassette tape, a lens (1), a microphone (16), a colour CMOS sensor, a signal processing module, a write head and a drive unit, in operational relation to each other. Also provided is a view finder (21) and an operating switch (22). The casing (15) has formed thereon a tear strip (20) used for opening the casing once recording has been completed. Removal of the cassette tape also involves disabling of tape guide components. Since one time recording only is possible with no playback or rewind, the life requirements for the various components can be considerably reduced.

  • Publication number: 20040237308
Abstract: Disposable razors are known. Unfortunately, “wet-shaving” is required with these razors which can be an inconvenience if the appropriate facilities are not readily available. Dry shaving would be ideal but dry shavers are not designed to be cheap enough to be disposable. The problem of providing a razor that could be used for wet or dry shaving that is cheap enough to throw away after a few uses is solved by the provision of a power operated razor 1 comprising a head 2 incorporating one or more cutter containing shaver heads 11, a body 3, a power supply 4 operatively connected to the or each cutter and an actuator 8 to actuate the razor 1, their arrangement being such that there is no normal means of access to the interior of the razor 1. This alleviates the problem because access to the working parts to replace them is denied.
