  • Patent number: 8823536
Abstract: Alerts based on detected hardware and/or software problems in a complex distributed application environment are mapped to recovery actions for automatically resolving problems. Non-mapped alerts are escalated to designated individuals or teams through a cyclical escalation method that includes a confirmation hand-off notice from the designated individual or team. Information collected for each alert as well as solutions through the escalation process may be recorded for expanding the automated resolution knowledge base.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 21, 2010
Date of Patent: September 2, 2014
    Assignee: Microsoft Corporation

  • Patent number: 6265950
Abstract: In order for it to be possible to manufacture a transition with a cost-effective stamping or diecasting or cold-molding process or with a plastic injection-molding process with subsequent metal plating, at least one ridge situated in the waveguide, which reduces the waveguide cross section in the direction of the stripline, has a cross section which tapers conically in the direction of the stripline.

  • Patent number: 6037894
Abstract: According to the invention, a monostatic FMCW radar sensor for a vehicle for detecting objects is proposed in which at least one antenna feed in combination with a dielectric lens is embodied for both transmitting and receiving a corresponding echo signal. At least one antenna feed is connected to a ring mixer via a ratrace ring or double ratrace ring, so that an expensive circulator can be dispensed with. The high-frequency structure is advantageously embodied in planar microstrip form. A plurality of transmission and reception antennas are focused via one common lens.

  • Patent number: 5771495
Abstract: A forward lean sock, that is particularly suited to snowboarding is provided. The snowboarding sock includes a woven sock body having a leg section and a foot section joined by a heel and front arch. The heel includes a Y-heel construction that provide an enhanced pouch of material at the heel to remove tension at the opposing front arch so that bunching is minimized in a forward lean position. The toe section can include reduced padding or a flat weave with no padding to provide more freedom of toe movement for the wearer.
