Publication number: 20250084542Abstract: Multilayer cathodes for the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide as well as membrane electrode assemblies and bipolar membrane electrode assemblies comprising the multilayer cathodes are described. More particularly, the multilayer cathodes for the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide comprise a gas diffusion layer, a cathode catalyst layer disposed on the gas diffusion layer, and a permeable carbon dioxide regeneration layer comprising an anion exchange ionomer disposed on the cathode catalyst layer. The uses of the multilayer cathodes, the membrane electrode assemblies and the bipolar membrane electrode assemblies for the production of multicarbon products as well as their processes of manufacturing are also described. Finally, also described are methods for electrochemical production of a multicarbon product using the multilayer cathodes, the membrane electrode assemblies and the bipolar membrane electrode assemblies.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 27, 2022Publication date: March 13, 2025Inventors: Colin O'BRIEN, Rui Kai MIAO, David SINTON, Edward SARGENT

Patent number: 11038921Abstract: Methods and systems for detecting a malicious actor on a network. In some embodiments the system may gather data regarding one or more authentic hostnames on a network, and generate a pseudo hostname based on the gathered data. The system may then issue a network discovery request for the pseudo hostname. Based on a response to the network discovery request, the system may execute one or more remedial actions.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 2020Date of Patent: June 15, 2021Assignee: Rapid7, Inc.Inventors: Samuel Adams, Nicholas Davis, Andrew Keely, Jeffrey D. Myers, Colin O'Brien

Patent number: 10632250Abstract: A device for dispensing a fluid from a flexible bag includes a casing containing a tray for receiving the flexible bag and a pressure applicator movable by an actuator. Movement of the actuator pushes the pressure applicator against the tray by translation or by rotation to compress the bag between the tray and the casing.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 2015Date of Patent: April 28, 2020Assignee: KEYMED (MEDICAL & INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT) LTD.Inventor: Colin O'Brien

Patent number: 10541870Abstract: Systems and methods are related to a global ranking for a unified list of tasks. From a plurality of work projects each having one or more tasks, a processor may receive a first set of selections of at least two work projects for generating a work backlog having a unified list of tasks. The processor may generate a list of potential tasks to include in the work backlog from the selected work projects. The processor may receive a second set of selections of one or more of the potential tasks to include in the work backlog. The processor may send signals to display the unified list of tasks of the work backlog based on the potential tasks selected. The unified list of tasks comprises at least two types of tasks from two different work projects having disparate priority metrics.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2017Date of Patent: January 21, 2020Assignee: ServiceNow, Inc.Inventors: Scott Fuller, Anna Kotliarevskaia, Colin O'Brien, Tarun Murala, Madhu Geddam Umapathy, Nitin Lahanu Hase, Arun Vydianathan

Publication number: 20120231906Abstract: A game device (1) comprises a ball (2) and twelve indicators (3). Each indicator (3) comprises a suction cavity (4) and a release ring (5). Each indicator (3) may be releasably attached by suction to the ball (2) by manipulating the suction cavity (4) of the indicator (3) to create a suction force between the indicator (3) and the ball (2). The release ring (5) protrudes from the ball (2) substantially perpendicular to an external surface of the ball (2). Upon an impact to the release ring (5), for example a user kicking the device (1), the release ring (5) acts to release the suction attachment force between the indicator (3) and the ball (2). The indicator (3) thus becomes detached from the ball (2). By detaching the indicator (3) from the ball (2), the indicator (3) acts to indicate the region of the impact to the game device (1).Type: ApplicationFiled: September 15, 2010Publication date: September 13, 2012Inventors: Michael Roy Barry, Martin Donnelly, Colin O'Brien

Patent number: 7358893Abstract: A circuit and associated method for determining the heading of a vehicle or device with a satellite ranging system receiver is provided. The circuit requires only a single front end RF stage. A single RF stage can be used because the incoming signal received at the first antenna is delayed with respect to the signal received at the second antenna and the two signals are merged together, to form a combined signal. The combined signal can be down converted and sampled in a single stage. The samples are then separately correlated to detect the data associated with the portion of the signal attributed to each antenna. The differences between the measured data are then used to calculate the relative orientation (heading and pitch) of the device upon which the two antennas are disposed.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2006Date of Patent: April 15, 2008Assignee: NovAtel, Inc.Inventor: Colin O'Brien

Patent number: 5810453Abstract: A bicycle is provided with wheels wherein the spokes extend from nailheads secured in the rim of the wheel inwardly to an annular flange at the hub. Radially inwardly of the annular flange of the hub, a threaded nipple receives a threaded end of the spoke, allowing for adjustment of the tension in the spoke. The size of the holes in the rim of the spokes is reduced and enhances the strength of the rim. The spokes extend straight, without bends, and are therefore able to bear more tension, and the number of spokes may consequently be reduced.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 1996Date of Patent: September 22, 1998Inventor: Colin O'Brien
