Abstract: Described herein is the use of a PPAR-delta agonist in the treatment of kidney diseases, wherein: the kidney disease is Alport syndrome, Goodpasture syndrome, thin basement membrane nephropathy (TBMN), focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), benign familial hematuria (BFH), post-transplant anti-GBM (Glomerular Basement Membrane) nephritis, X-linked Alport syndrome (XLAS), autosomal recessive Alport syndrome (ARAS) or autosomal dominant Alport syndrome (ADAS).

Abstract: Described herein is the use of PPAR? agonists in the treatment of mitochondrial myopathy. In one aspect, described herein are methods for treating a primary mitochondrial myopathy (PMM) in a mammal comprising administering to the mammal with a primary mitochondrial myopathy a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor delta (PPAR?) agonist compound. In another aspect, described herein is a method of modulating PPAR? in a mammal with primary mitochondrial myopathy comprising administering to the mammal with primary mitochondrial myopathy PPAR? agonist compound.
