  • Publication number: 20220029300
Abstract: A scanning antenna includes a transmission and/or reception region including a plurality of antenna units and a non-transmission and/or reception region other than the transmission and/or reception region. The scanning antenna includes a TFT substrate, a slot substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a seal portion surrounding the liquid crystal layer, a wall structure (additional seal portion) disposed in a region surrounded by the seal portion in the non-transmission and/or reception region, a reflective conductive plate, a first spacer structure defining a first gap between a first dielectric substrate and a second dielectric substrate in the transmission and/or reception region, and a second spacer structure disposed in the wall structure and defining a second gap wider than the first gap.

  • Publication number: 20220029289
Abstract: A scanning antenna includes a transmission and/or reception region including a plurality of antenna units and a non-transmission and/or reception region other than the transmission and/or reception region. The scanning antenna includes a TFT substrate, a slot substrate, a liquid crystal layer provided between the TFT substrate and the slot substrate, a seal portion provided in the non-transmission and/or reception region and surrounding the liquid crystal layer, and a reflective conductive plate disposed opposing a second main surface of a second dielectric substrate with a dielectric layer interposed between the reflective conductive plate and the second main surface. The slot electrode includes an opening or a recessed portion formed in the non-transmission and/or reception region and in the region surrounded by the seal portion.

  • Publication number: 20170034581
Abstract: A portion of media content being outputted to a user by a media device is identified as follows. A user input is received from the user at the media device during the outputting of the media content. The user input denotes a current interest in the media content expressed by the user. An identifier of a portion of the media content corresponding to a timing of the user input is identified by the media device. The identifier is for locating associated content information held in a content identification database. In response to the user input, the media device uses the identifier to render accessible, to a secondary device available to the user, the associated content information.

  • Publication number: 20150095933
Abstract: Disclosed herein a user device. The user device comprises a network interface for connecting to an internet. The user device comprises a processor configured to execute a client application having a user interface. The client application is configured to detect a media device which is capable of communicating with the user device via a local connection; said local connection is not over the internet. The client is configured to cause the detected media device to display a pairing code—the causation being effected via said local connection—and to present, via the user interface, an option to input the displayed code. The client is configured to transmit the inputted code to the internet to establish a pairing relationship with the media device. The established pairing relationship enables interaction between the user device and the media device. A corresponding method, computer program product and media device are also disclosed.
