  • Patent number: 11963745
Abstract: Various embodiments provide a wellness tracking device with a base plate that may be utilized as a combination electrode by a variety of sensors. The base plate may be a multi-material electrode that includes a conductor and a transparent or semi-transparent material to enable optical sensing. In certain embodiments, the base plate supports a plurality of different sensors, which may selectively utilize the base plate as an electrode.

  • Publication number: 20120280090
Abstract: A connecting device between two cylindrical parts that are connected at a junction plane, more particularly suited for connecting an air intake and a power plant of an aircraft nacelle, includes—at the parts to be connected—a large number of through holes that are perpendicular to the junction plane and that empty out at the junction plane, arranged facing one another and connecting elements housed in the through holes, each including a rod with supports at each end that make it possible to keep the parts to be connected flattened. The through holes include—for each—at least one small cross-section that is adjusted to the rod of the connecting element close to the corresponding support and a cross-section with significant play at the junction plane so that the rod only undergoes very weak shear forces at the junction plane during the relative deformation of the assembled parts.

  • Publication number: 20050252304
Abstract: A method of simulating life of a rotor blade mounting feature mounted in a complementary rotor disc mounting feature comprises the steps of providing two specimen mounting features (37) each having portions defining pressure faces matching in profile respective faces of the rotor blade mounting feature; providing a fixture (38) having two opposed mounting features (39) each having portions defining pressure faces (78) matching in profile respective faces of the rotor disc mounting feature; mounting the specimen mounting features (37) in the fixture mounting features (39); applying a first load to the specimen mounting features (37); measuring a strain in a region (86) of the fixture (38) between the fixture mounting features (39); applying a second load to the fixture (38), the second load being substantially perpendicular to the first load; and controlling the second load in response to the measured strain. A high cycle load may simultaneously be applied to the specimen mounting features (37).
