Publication number: 20240272612Abstract: Systems for and methods of providing a feed rate for three-dimensional printing a part are presented. The disclosed techniques include: obtaining computer readable toolpath instructions for the part, where the toolpath instructions specify a nominal feed rate for a toolpath segment and spatial toolpath data of the toolpath segment; providing an input including the spatial toolpath data to a trained machine learning system, where the trained machine learning system has been trained using training data including: training spatial toolpath data, training closed loop gain data, and training feed rate data; obtaining a revised feed rate for the toolpath segment different from the nominal feed rate for the toolpath segment, where the revised feed rate is output from the trained machine learning system; and providing revised computer readable toolpath instructions, where the revised machine learning toolpath instructions include the revised feed rate.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 13, 2023Publication date: August 15, 2024Applicant: XEROX CORPORATIONInventors: Stuart A. Schweid, PriyaankaDevi Guggilapu, Benjamin Paulson, Collin Alexander Ladd, Dinesh Krishna Kumar Jayabal, David A. Mantell

Publication number: 20240173972Abstract: A printing system and method of inspecting drop ejection in a printing system is disclosed. The method includes capturing an image of each of a plurality of drops of a print material after ejection from an ejector of a printing system, creating a temporally averaged image from each image of the plurality of drops of print material, and classifying one of the plurality of drops of print material based on the temporally averaged image that was created. The use of a pretrained convolutional neural network for classifying one of the plurality of drops and comparing the temporally averaged image to another temporally averaged image to classify one of the plurality of drops may be employed. The printing system also includes a camera with a high-speed shutter where the shutter is synchronized to an ejector pulse, and a video analytic framework coupled to the ejector and the camera configured to generate a jetting result for each of the one or more drops of liquid print material.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 29, 2022Publication date: May 30, 2024Applicant: XEROX CORPORATIONInventors: Peter KNAUSDORF, Sakib ZARGAR, Joseph C.
