Publication number: 20240343284Abstract: A shopping cart has a base, a basket that moves up and down, and a latching mechanism to secure the basket to the base in a variety of vertical positions. The base has wheels, and legs extending upwardly. The basket has receivers to receive the legs of the base. The latching mechanism has an activator, a bias member, and latching pins. The activator moves from a normal position to a biased position to move the latching pins from an engaged position to a disengaged position. The latching pins are removed from the openings in the legs when the activator is in the biased position, and the latching pins engage openings in the legs when the activator is in the normal positon to secure the basket at a variety of positions about the legs.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 11, 2024Publication date: October 17, 2024Inventors: Jason Fitzwater, Erin Rice, Collin Ostergaard

Publication number: 20240343341Abstract: A cycle has a frame, a seat, a rear wheel, a front fork and handlebar, a front wheel rotatably secured to the front fork, and first and second pedals removably connected to the front wheel. The seat has a base, a top portion pivotally connected to the base to move between an open position and a closed position, and a cavity between the base and the top portion that is accessible when the top portion is in open position. The cavity has receivers that are sized to hold the first and second pedals after the first and second pedals are removed from the front wheel. The top portion can be moved to the closed position when the first and second pedals are in the receivers to store the first and second pedals in the cavity of the seat.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 12, 2024Publication date: October 17, 2024Inventors: Collin Ostergaard, Jason Fitzwater

Patent number: 11718337Abstract: A handle release and locking mechanism for a wagon is provided. The mechanism has a pivotable drum, a handle secured to the drum, a release pedal, a main shaft about which the drum and release pedal pivot, and a locking pin. The release pedal moves from a locked position to an unlocked position by a user. The locking pin extends through the release pedal and the drum, and moves from a first position to a second position via movement of the release pedal. When the locking pin is in the first position the handle is locked in a generally vertical position. When the release pedal is moved to the unlocked position the locking pin is moved to the second position and the handle and pivotable drum can pivot about the main shaft.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 2020Date of Patent: August 8, 2023Assignee: Radio Flyer Inc.Inventors: Collin Ostergaard, Cameron Eckert

Patent number: 11642601Abstract: A folding play structure is provided. The play structure is convertible between a storage position and a use position, and has first, second, third and fourth sidewalls. A center beam is positioned between the first sidewall and the second sidewall. A first foldable frame structure joins one end of the first sidewall to one end of the second sidewall, and a second foldable frame structure joins the other end of the first sidewall to the other end of the second sidewall. A frame lock is provided and is prevented from moving when the play structure is in the use position to retain the structure in the use position. The structure has legs, a slide and a ladder.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2021Date of Patent: May 9, 2023Assignee: Radio Flyer Inc.Inventors: Matthew Young, Kyle Kenagy, Collin Ostergaard, Jacob Swan

Publication number: 20230112111Abstract: A folding mechanism for a scooter to transition the scooter from a use position to a folded position. The folding mechanism has an upper housing connected to a steering tube of the scooter, and a lower housing operably secured to a fork of the scooter and pivotally secured to the upper housing about a folding axle. A lever is pivotally attached to the folding axle and operates to move a locking clamp from an unlocked position to a locked position. The locking connects the upper housing and the lower housing in the locked position. Additionally, a locking sleeve engages the lever to prevent the lever from being moved from the locked position to the unlocked position when the locking sleeve is in its locked position.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 10, 2022Publication date: April 13, 2023Inventors: Jason Fitzwater, Collin Ostergaard
