  • Patent number: 12318783
Abstract: Described are systems and methods for particle sorting. An array may comprise a substrate with a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The substrate may comprise a plurality of pores defining lumens extending from the first surface to the second surface. The plurality of pores can be configured to receive a sample solution comprising a plurality of particles. The array may further comprise a surface material provided at or adjacent to the first or second surfaces. The surface material may comprise a plurality of materials that are configured to modify a wetting behavior of the sample solution or the plurality of particles at or adjacent to said first or second surfaces, such that one of the first or second surfaces is hydrophilic, and the other of the first or second surfaces is hydrophobic.

  • Publication number: 20220250074
Abstract: Methods and devices for creating monolayer arrays of cells or particles are described which may be used for high-throughput cell sorting and analysis, or other particle sorting applications. A cell loading system is described, the system comprising a porous mesh having a plurality of openings arranged in a random or repeating pattern across a surface. The porous mesh is used for preparing a layer of target particles, e.g., cells, distributed and spaced apart in a two-dimensional configuration on or within the mesh. Each of the plurality of openings in the mesh is configured to receive and permit a target particle to pass through when a fluid containing the target particles is dispensed on the surface of the mesh.

  • Publication number: 20210339246
Abstract: Described are platforms, systems, media, and methods for maintaining a database of items associated with one or more skill requirements and a visit duration; maintaining a database of experts associated with one or more skill proficiencies, a location, and a schedule; receiving a request from a consumer for delivery by an expert of one or more items in the database to a consumer address; identifying experts in the database having skill proficiencies matching the skill requirements of the one or more items and available in a timeslot for the visit duration of the one or more items; presenting timeslots for which one or more experts are identified to the consumer and allowing the consumer to select a timeslot; and selecting an expert from among the identified experts in the selected timeslot based on shortest travel time; provided that utilization of the selected expert exceeds a predetermined utilization threshold.

  • Patent number: 7300303
Abstract: An apparatus comprising a spring retainer attachable to a printed circuit board and a spring having a fixed end attached to the spring retainer and a free end that contacts and exerts a force on the printed circuit board when the spring retainer is attached to the printed circuit board. A process comprising attaching a clamp to a printed circuit board, the clamp comprising a spring retainer and a spring having a fixed end attached to the spring retainer and a free end that is in contact with, and exerts a force on, the printed circuit board; and inserting a flexible circuit with one or more electrical contact pads thereon between the spring and the printed circuit board such that the electrical contact pads of the flexible circuit are pressed by the spring against corresponding electrical contact pads on the printed circuit board.
