  • Patent number: 11021957
Abstract: A rotor disc retention assembly of a gas turbine includes a tension bolt, a rotor disc with a hub, a web, a blade retention arrangement, a rotational axis, a first axial side and a second axial side. The hub has a central bore around the rotational axis. The web is integrally formed with and extends radially outwards from the hub to the blade retention arrangement. The blade retention arrangement has a centre of mass. A radial plane perpendicular to the rotational axis passes through the centre of mass. The first axial side engages the tension bolt. The radial plane intersects the hub defining a first axial side portion towards the first axial side and a second axial side portion towards the second axial side. The second axial side portion has an axial extent which is between 10% and 30% greater than an axial extent of the first axial side portion.

  • Patent number: 9874146
Abstract: Support strut assembly for supporting a casing of a functional unit of gas turbine is provided having a strut body for supporting the casing to ground, a ball pivot element mounted to the strut body and a rocker lever mounted to the ball pivot element. The rocker lever inserts into a bearing bore of a support body as part of the casing or ground, the rocker lever inserts into the bearing bore via clearance fit so a pivotal point is generated at a first contact area between the rocker lever and an inner surface of the bearing bore, the rocker lever pivots within the bearing bore around the pivotal point. An elastomeric springing damping element is mounted to the rocker lever between the rocker lever and the a support body providing centering force and damping pivoting of the rocker lever with respect to the support body around the pivotal point.

  • Patent number: 9458856
Abstract: An arrangement having inner and outer cylindrical casings connected by a cylindrical connector is presented. The connector is disposed between and concentric with the inner and outer casings and is stiff in direction of concentric axis but flexible in direction radially with respect to concentric axis such that relative thermal expansion of inner and outer cylindrical casings in radial direction is permitted simultaneously maintaining relative position of the casings in axial direction. The connector has annular first and second ends secured to inner and outer casings respectively, and a cylindrical main body between first and second ends flexible in radial direction. The main body has cylindrical first and third sections, annular second section. The first section extends axially away from the first end to a radially inner pat of the second section. The third section extends axially from a radially outer part of the second section towards the second end.

  • Patent number: 9188138
Abstract: A device for adjusting variable guide vanes of an axial-flow machine includes a control rod that adjusts an angular position of the variable guide vanes and is pivotably connected to a shaft. Each of a first and a second bracket has a first end connectable to a casing of the machine. A first joint is fixed to a second end of the first bracket and provides adjustable positioning of a first end of the shaft. A second joint is fixed to a second end of the second bracket and provides adjustable positioning of a second end of the shaft. The two joints are spatially positioned to each other solely via a first fixed connection between the first end of the first bracket to the casing and via a second fixed connection between the first end of the second bracket to the casing.
