  • Publication number: 20180065655
Abstract: A stroller having a central hub system that is reversible and foldable is provided. In one example, support members of the stroller chassis (e.g., members supporting the front wheels, back wheels, handle bar(s), and child seating surface) extend from the central hub system and are selectively rotatable there around. In some examples, the central hub system allows a user to collapse or fold the stroller from a first operational position (e.g., suitable for supporting a child) to a second collapsed position (e.g., where the support members rotate around the central hub system together to a more compact position relative to the operational position). In some examples, the collapsed position may be achieved in a single step (e.g., motion), and by one hand, of the user. The central hub system may also allow for reversing the handlebar to support the child in either a forward or rear facing configuration.

  • Patent number: 9481389
Abstract: A convertible stroller for selectively converting between two different active use modes is provided. The convertible stroller may include a frame supporting at least one front wheel, rear wheels, and a seat base for supporting (or including) a seating surface. The seat base is operable to be selectively positioned in at least two different use modes, a first use mode and a second use mode, wherein the first use mode positions the seat base at a relatively higher position than in the second use mode. In some examples, the frame and/or wheels are also operable to transition to a longer wheel base in the second use mode.

  • Patent number: 8714582
Abstract: A baby stroller system is provided including a baby stroller and a ride along board attached thereto for supporting a rider (e.g., a child) while the stroller is pushed. The ride along board may include a platform for the rider to stand upon and at least one wheel for supporting the platform. Additionally, the ride along board is positioned asymmetrically relative to the stroller, e.g., in-line with one of the rear wheel or laterally outside of the stroller wheel base. Further, the platform may be positioned laterally outside of the handlebars, thereby providing more room for the rider (e.g., not having to stand or squeeze between the handlebars) and moving the ride along board and rider away from the moving space of a user pushing the stroller. The ride along board further includes at least three wheels defining a ride along board wheel base, where a center of mass of the ride along board is within the wheel base. The ride along board may be attached to opposing ends of an axle of one of the rear wheels.

  • Publication number: 20130249202
Abstract: A multimedia device pouch is provided for attaching to a stroller or other ambulatory vehicle and holding a multimedia device in multiple viewing orientations. The pouch includes fasteners for attaching the pouch to a stroller and a pocket to secure a multimedia device. The pocket includes a window configured such that a user may interact with and view the device through the window while keeping the device secured. The pouch may also include additional fabric and/or fasteners configured to angle the pocket for viewing the multimedia device at various viewing angles. A stroller is also provided with a multimedia device pouch attached to the stroller handle, the stroller handle configured to pivot between multiple operating positions, with the viewing angle of the multimedia device in the pouch changing with the multiple operating positions to provide various viewing alternatives to both stroller passengers and those pushing the stroller.

  • Publication number: 20130015691
Abstract: A magnetic buckle retention system is provided including magnetic material placed along the side and/or bottom portions of a child seat. The magnetic material is adapted to attract a component of the child seat's belt harness, such as a tongue, a buckle and/or a belt. When the child seat's belt harness is in an unfastened configuration, a tongue, buckle, and/or belt portion of the belt harness may be held in place by the magnetic material at the positions described above, thus reducing the likelihood of the belt harness components interfering with the ingress and/or egress of a child seat occupant.

  • Patent number: 8210550
Abstract: A suspension system for a stroller is described. The suspension system may include a rotating damper mechanism used between a stroller frame and a stroller wheel. In one example, apparatus for providing suspension/damping of a stroller includes a first member attached to a stroller frame, a second member disposed co-axially with the first member and operable to rotate relative to the first member, and at least one elastic member (e.g., urethane) positioned between the first and second members for damping motion (e.g., rotational or translational motion) therebetween. In one example, four elastic members are disposed between the first and second members.

  • Publication number: 20090302578
Abstract: An apparatus and method for adding an interface to a stroller is described. The apparatus may include a frame supporting a mounting interface for engaging an interface of the stroller, and first and second interfaces, each operable for receiving a removable seating surface. Such an apparatus may be mounted on the interface of a stroller designed to have a single interface for a seat, thereby providing two interfaces for seats. In another example, an apparatus for adding an interface may include an interface for receiving a removable seating surface and a frame operable for attaching to a stroller and supporting the interface. The apparatus may further include an attachment mechanism for attaching to the frame of the stroller and wheels. Such an apparatus may attach to a stroller designed to have a single interface for a seat, thereby introducing at least one more interface for a second seat.
