  • Patent number: 8019587
Abstract: A method for upgrading redundant network components is disclosed. An application is installed on a network component. The network component is related as a redundant peer with a mate network component operating in an active mode and processing a stable call. The network component is placed in a standby mode. Data of a first version is transferred from the mate network component to the network component. The transferred data is converted from the first version to a second version. The mate network component is switched from the active mode to a standby mode. The network component is switched from the standby mode to an active mode to process the stable call.

  • Patent number: 6175618
Abstract: An ISP 10 provides enhanced features compatible with non-AIN switches to allow service providers to provide customers with features such as voice prompting, DTMF number collection, fax on demand and similar features. In one embodiment, the ISP can also be configured as an IP. Enhanced features can be accomplished using the ISP, such as advanced routing of long distance calls based on ANI, authorization codes, type of call, time of day, origination of call and destination of call.

  • Patent number: 6047059
Abstract: A method of processing transaction capabilities application part information in an intelligent network includes transmitting transaction capabilities application information from a first node in the intelligent network to a second node in the intelligent network and providing a transaction capabilities application part message definition having a plurality of messages and parameters defining a parameter structure for transaction capabilities application part communication. The method also includes accessing the transaction capabilities application part message definition to determine the parameter structure for the provided transaction capabilities application part information and, in response to the content of the transaction capabilities application part information and the parameter structure, executing an executable algorithm operable to process transaction capabilities application part messages having the parameter structure defined by the transaction capabilities application part definition.

  • Patent number: 5974252
Abstract: A method of implementing a transaction capabilities application part application protocol for transaction capabilities application part communication includes providing a transaction capabilities application part message definition. The method also includes generating a plurality of service independent building blocks to form a service logic program associated with transaction capabilities application part communication. At least one of the plurality of service independent building blocks associates a plurality of leaf-node parameters with respective variables in the at least one service independent building block. The leaf-node parameters are specified by fully qualified names derived from the transaction capabilities application part message definition. The method also includes creating an executable form of the service independent building blocks for execution.
