  • Publication number: 20250247860
Abstract: A UE may receive an SCI for a first transmission. The UE may select a threshold value for a channel metric threshold. A first threshold value may be selected for the channel metric threshold if the SCI indicates that the first transmission is associated with a backscattering-based communications device. A second threshold value may be selected for the channel metric threshold if the SCI indicates that the first transmission is not associated with the backscattering-based communications device. The first threshold value may be different from the second threshold value. The UE may measure at least a portion of the first transmission to generate a channel metric for the first transmission. The UE may transmit a second transmission using resources selected based on the channel metric and the channel metric threshold.

  • Patent number: 12316358
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for frequency-based predistortion signal generation. In an example aspect, the apparatus includes a predistortion linearizer circuit configured to be coupled to an input of an amplifier. The amplifier has non-linearities associated with multiple frequencies. The multiple frequencies include a first subset of frequencies and a second subset of frequencies. The predistortion linearizer circuit is also configured to accept an input signal. The predistortion linearizer circuit is additionally configured to generate, based on the input signal, a compensation signal to attenuate the non-linearities existing within the first subset of frequencies more than the non-linearities existing within the second subset of frequencies. The predistortion linearizer circuit is further configured to generate a pre-distorted signal based on the input signal and the compensation signal.

  • Patent number: 12267791
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be capable of operating according to a first transmission efficiency operating mode and a second transmission efficiency operating mode that is less power efficient than the first transmission efficiency operating mode. The first transmission efficiency operating mode may be associated with a first undesired emission level that is greater than a second undesired emission level associated with the second transmission efficiency operating mode. The UE may select to operate in one of the two transmission efficiency operating modes based on one or more communication parameters (e.g., indicated by control signaling received from a base station). For example, the UE may select to operate in the first transmission efficiency operating mode based on determining that one or more of the communication parameters satisfies at least one parameter criterion for operating in the first transmission efficiency operating mode.

  • Publication number: 20200374804
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may support two different modes of operation (e.g., a normal transmission efficiency mode, a high transmission efficiency mode, etc.) either controlled by a network or the UE. The UE may transmit an indication of a capability of supporting the different modes of operation, where the network or the UE determine to use which mode of operation to use based on the transmitted capability. For example, the network may transmit an explicit indication of which mode of operation for the UE to use and/or may transmit an indication of the modes of operation, where the UE determines which mode of operation to use after receiving the indication. Additionally, the UE may determine which mode of operation to use based on being scheduled within or outside of a restricted bandwidth allocated to a mode of operation.
