Abstract: A recessed electrical outlet box which includes a body that is selectably connected to a cover by either a first or a second hinge assembly. The body includes a back wall, a face plate, a side wall and an interior, wherein the side wall extends between the back wall and face plate and the face plate has an opening for accessing the interior. The interior includes a recessed pair of bosses and a pair of mounting holes, which can be used for mounting electrical devices in the interior. The first and second hinge assemblies have a first hinge axis and a second hinge axis, respectively, and are attached to the face plate and cover so that the first hinge axis is substantially perpendicular to the second hinge axis.

Abstract: A retaining device for a split bolt connector which includes: a continuous wall that defines an aperture and at least one bendable tab extending upwardly from the wall or a member extending between opposing wall sections. The wall is adapted to accommodate the nut on a split bolt connector in the aperture and the at least one tab, or the member, is adapted to engage the slot in the split bolt after the nut is connected to the split bolt.

Abstract: A pipe clamp is used to secure an elongate article, such as a pipe, to a structural channel. The pipe clamp includes a pair of elongate clamping straps for positioning about the article. Each strap includes an attachment end for attaching to the structural channel an intermediate portion for wrapping around the article and a connection end. A threaded fastener extends through the connection ends to couple the strap around the article. Each connection end is of different length and includes a receiving aperture therethrough such that the fastener extending through the apertures extends at an oblique angle with respect to a center line passing through the article perpendicular to the structural channel.

An inner faceplate is connected to the outer faceplate such that the inner faceplate is recessed from the outer faceplate and access to the inner faceplate is provided through the interior opening. The inner faceplate has an outlet port and a communication port. The outlet box assembly further includes a support housing having an inner surface and an interior region bounded by the inner surface. The support housing is connected to a rear surface of the inner faceplate such that the outlet port provides access to the interior region. The support housing is configured to allow insertion of an electrical receptacle into the interior region and to provide an enclosure for the electrical receptacle.

The far-side support has a first end, a second end and a pair of sides and includes a first section and a second section. The far-side support foldably extends from the mounting plate and the second section foldably extends from the first section. The cover is configured having a generally planar mounting plate with a collar surrounding an opening through this mounting plate. An extension sleeve moves within this opening and adjacent the collar. At least one fastener is located adjacent the opening and is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The fastener operates a locking device that engages and bias against the extension sleeve when the fastener is in the locked position and which disengage and cease biasing the extension sleeve when the fastener is in the unlocked position.
