  • Publication number: 20200289047
Abstract: The invention provides a fetal movement monitoring system which uses optical pattern sensing to detect fetal movements. Fetal movements provide a change in the optical path between the optical sensor and detector, such as a different proportion of amniotic fluid and fetus and/or a different contact pressure with the optical sensor arrangements. One or both of these effects may be detected based on analysis of the optical signals captured by the system.

  • Patent number: 10503628
Abstract: A method for model checking path reduction based on interpolation comprises: reading a C program, performing grammatical and semantic analysis on the C program, and extracting CFG from an abstract syntax tree; adding safety (S) interpolation and error (E) interpolation to the CFG and extending the CFG; in a process of generating ARG according to the CFG, determining, in each state, whether the safety interpolation and the error interpolation are implied by current path formula. The method improves the verification efficiency by computing the S interpolation and the E interpolation, which makes the algorithm of the model checking a better use in large-scale programs. The S interpolation can be used to avoid the unnecessary traversal, greatly reducing the number of ARG state. The E interpolation can be used to quickly determine whether there is a true counterexample in the program, accelerating the program's verification and improving the efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20190336098
Abstract: A system is for determining fat and lean body tissue components of body tissue. A propagating wave is provided into the body tissue. A first set of normally directed reflections of the propagating wave is received at a first measurement site and a second set of angled reflections of the propagating wave is received from the body tissue at a second measurement site. A fat body tissue depth and optionally also a lean body tissue depth are obtained based on the times at which reflections of the first and second sets are received. This arrangement requires only two receivers in order to resolve the depth of the fat and lean body tissue constituents. The propagation paths are simplified by arranging the transceiver to direct a wave normally into the tissue.

  • Publication number: 20190216386
Abstract: A system for monitoring the fetal size of an expectant mother comprises an acoustic sensor for positioning over the belly of the expectant mother, the acoustic sensor configured to receive an acoustic signal generated by the fetal heartbeat and to generate a sensor output signal. A fetal size is determined from a sensor output signal strength. This system is based on the realization that certain acoustic signals generated by the fetal heart beat are strongly correlated with the fetus size.

  • Publication number: 20190053521
Abstract: The present application relates to a method of cooking cereal grains comprising a first step (S1) of subjecting an initial volume of cereal grains (3) to hot air in a vessel (2) having air temperature between 150 to 250 degrees Centrigrade for between 30 to 180 second; and a second step (S2) of subjecting the expanded cereal grains (3) to boiling water and/or steam. The second step (S2) is performed subsequent to the first step (S1) whilst the expanded cereal grains remain in the vessel (2). A device for cooking cereal grains (3) is also disclosed. The invention increases the overall volume of the cooked cereal grains compared to conventional cooking methods which results in cereal grains having a lower energy density.

  • Publication number: 20180353121
Abstract: The invention provides a fetal position monitoring system, comprising an abdominal belt or a glove comprising a force and/or deformation sensor arrangement for obtaining resistance information of a plurality of local areas of the abdomen in response to an applied pressure. A data analysis processor interprets the resistance information to derive a fetal position and/or fetal size and optionally also fetal movement and an output is provided giving a representation of the fetal position and/or fetal size and optionally also fetal movement. This system provides a way of generating an output of the fetal position or size which requires minimum medical knowledge of the user, and it may be used at home.
