Abstract: A posture monitoring apparatus, comprising: at least one processor; and at least one sensor configured to sense position and posture of a wearer of the device; wherein the at least one processor receives and processes input from the at least one sensor, and where necessary, indicates the wearer's posture needs correction, and operates an alarm module to signal the wearer to correct the wearer's posture; wherein the apparatus is worn above the shoulders of the wearer.

Abstract: The invention provides an eyeglass-like apparatus and methods that may be used similarly to treat existing postural issues especially FHP and to prevent them in unaffected people. The apparatus may comprise a means for creating an obstruction in a zone within the field of vision of a person which size and position can be adjusted. The obstruction can be mounted in or on a lens, or a pair of lenses, or to a wearable frame without any lenses, or with non-vision-corrective translucent or transparent panes instead of lenses, or may be a small nose-mounted fixture, or may comprise a solid material, an electronic panel, or may be integrated as a component aspect of the shape and manufacture of a lens itself, or may be permanently fixed element in the lens, such as an etching, or it may be removable.

Specifically, embodiments of the present invention are directed to a seat cushion comprising an air chamber and with an areas corresponding the coccyx, perineum area, left and right thighs of a user when the user is in a standard sitting position. In preferred embodiments of the present invention, no part of the air chamber is excluded from a single air dissipation and flow. Preferred embodiments of the present invention are further configured with one or more air valves allowing for adjustment of inflation of said air chamber.

Abstract: The invention provides an inexpensive orthopedic pillow comprising multiple cushion elements surrounding or associated with an inner air chamber in a composite pillow that is easily adjusted, reconfigured, broken-down, and customized such that the pillow can be conformed to suit the needs of any person in any environment wherever a pillow is necessary or desirable, whether for sitting, reclining, sleeping, or any other purpose. A covering sheath may or may not be included and an inflation control valve may regulate the volume and pressure of the inner air chamber. Each of the internal components may be adjusted and swapped for other components at any time according to user preferences or physician specifications.

The insert is partially immobilized relative to one or both surfaces of the shell to prevent bunching, or lumping of the insert. The partial immobilization is effected through the use of thin straps loosely intertwined with the insert and bonded to the edges of the shell, or through the use of a foil which holds the insert against one of the surfaces of the shell and is bonded to that surface through sufficiently large perforations in the insert to allow a degree of the insert in case of a deformation of the shell, for instance when the cushion is rolled up.

Abstract: A fluid filled seat support comprising a bladder, a seat and a rigid or semi-rigid partition therebetween. The seat support allows free proprioceptive motion of user's body on the bladder but prevents the bladder from conforming to user's body, which, in many cases, will significantly improve user's comfort.

Abstract: A cushion designed to alleviate or counteract the so-called forward head posture and/or its effects has a region sized and shaped to fit between a user's shoulder blades when the user lies in a supine position on a bed, a table or floor and the cushion is placed under the user's thoracic spine, especially upper thoracic spine. The height and/or firmness of the cushion is selected to cause the head and shoulders of the user to sag towards the substrate, thus counteracting the so called forward head posture and its effects, as well as opening the user's chest for improved wellness.
