  • Patent number: 11919196
Abstract: A manufacturing system includes a tape advancing through the manufacturing system and a station of the manufacturing system. The tape includes a first portion having grains of an inorganic material bound by an organic binder. The station of the manufacturing system receives the first portion of the tape and prepares the tape for sintering by chemically changing the organic binder and/or removing the organic binder from the first portion of the tape, leaving the grains of the inorganic material, to form a second portion of the tape and, at least in part, prepare the tape for sintering.

  • Publication number: 20220346717
Abstract: Systems and methods for tourniquet monitoring and control is provided. A system includes at least one sensor, a housing, a processor, and a user communication module. The at least one sensor is configured to monitor at least one of deployment or operation of the tourniquet. The housing is configured to removably engage the tourniquet to position the at least one sensor to monitor the at least one of deployment or operation of the tourniquet. The processor is configured to receive feedback from the at least one sensor, compare the feedback to at least one of deployment or operation parameters for the tourniquet, and generate a user report. The user communication module is configured to communicate the user report.

  • Patent number: 9097129
Abstract: A segment for a knife edge seal includes an arcuate segment with a first end with a first end surface and a second end with a second end surface. The first end surface and the second end surface are complementary and overlapping when the first end surface and the second end surface interface with ends of adjacent segments.

  • Patent number: 9051847
Abstract: A rotor body ledge defines a radially inner surface. A hub extends axially from the rotor, and has a radially outer surface spaced from the ledge radially inner surface. A first distance is defined between the radially inner surface of the ledge and the radially outer surface of the hub. A knife edge seal has at least one pointed knife seal portion at a radially outer end. A radially inwardly extending arm portion extends from the seal, and an axially inwardly extending portion extends axially inwardly from the radially inwardly extending portion. The axially inwardly extending portion has a radially outer face and a radially inner face, which are spaced by a second distance. The second distance is less than the first distance, such that the knife edge seal is free floating between the ledge and the hub.

  • Publication number: 20130319005
Abstract: A gas turbine engine rotor section includes a rotor body with a ledge extending axially from a location on the rotor body. The ledge defines a radially inner surface radially inwardly of the ledge, and a hub extends axially from the rotor, and beyond the ledge. The hub has a radially outer surface spaced from the ledge radially inner surface. The second distance is less than the first distance.
