  • Patent number: 5520318
Abstract: A picture hanging apparatus is provided, which facilitate the hanging of a picture on a wall. The apparatus includes a tool with a frame having a forward or inner part that lies in front of a picture to be hung and which holds a hook device, and an outer part which includes a base extending rearwardly from the top of the inner part and a handle extending downwardly from the rear of the base. A driving mechanism which is movably mounted on the frame, has a drive end lying at the inner part of the frame and movable along a driveline to drive a fastener into the wall, the mechanism also including an actuator end lying at the frame outer part and being operable to forcefully move the drive end along the driveline. One drive mechanism includes a strike member slidably mounted on the frame to move parallel to the driveline, with the strike member having an outer end forming the actuator and designed to be operated by hitting it with a hammer.

  • Patent number: 4733806
Abstract: A camera shoulder case is provided which permits rapid opening, full visability, and easy access to one layer of securely held equipment in the case while the case remains supported by a shoulder strap on the user. The assembly includes a lower case part which holds the equipment, a cover pivotally mounted to the rear of the lower case part, and a shoulder strap having opposite ends mounted to opposite sides of the lower case part. A flexible loop member which is mounted to the cover, slidably receives the shoulder strap. With the case supported on a person, access is obtained by pulling up on the cover to pivot down the lower case part until it is horizontal, the strap-receiving loop then resisting closing of the cover. The lower case part can be partitioned by the user to securely hold equipment by the use of pylon devices that can be installed in selected holes of an array of holes formed at the bottom of the lower case part.

  • Patent number: 4198150
Abstract: A frame which can be held in an upright position, and which can hold a camera so that the camera can be turned from a horizontal to a vertical position without substantially shifting the position of the lens axis, and without utilizing an obstruction behind the back of the camera which would prevent it from opening to change the film. This allows the hand of the photographer, which is grasping a handle such as a palm pad while also turning the lens barrel to focus the lens, to turn the lens barrel at either position of the camera. The apparatus includes a pair of links connecting the frame to a camera mount on which the camera is held, with the links mounted so that when the camera mount rotates 90.degree. the position of a point located a predetermined distance, such as 11/2 inches, beyond the camera mount does not undergo a change in position.
