  • Patent number: 4432475
Abstract: A processor of photosensitive material having a plurality of tanks for containing fluids, one of which is a wash tank for containing wash water, and a top cover, including a movable front portion for covering the tanks when the processor is in operation is provided with a spring-loaded valve for controlling draining of wash water from the wash tank. The spring-loaded valve includes a U-shaped spring attached to the top of the wash tank. Connected to the spring is a plunger which extends vertically down into the drain hole. The plunger is equipped with a gasket for sealing the drain hole when the cover is in its lowered closed position. The spring has an adjustable striker extending upward to contact the bottom of the processor cover. When the processor cover is in its normal operating position, the striker is depressed and the spring is compressed. This seals the gasket against the bottom of the tank and prevents draining.

  • Patent number: 4241911
Abstract: An improved stripping and transfer roller assembly which is related to the device disclosed and claimed in prior U.S. Pat. No. 3,991,996 assigned the same assignee as the present invention. The present stripping and transfer roller assembly provides a hollow protective reinforcing sleeve element which surrounds and protects the compressible transfer elements and also permits compression and expansion of said elements during the transfer of a film sheet.

  • Patent number: 3983934
Abstract: This is a heat liquid exchanger unit particularly adapted for use with situations where the heating liquid is under low pressure gravity flow at a relatively slow flow rate and constitutes a pair of outer flow passages for the gravity flow heating liquid, which surround an inner replenisher liquid flow chamber through which liquid under controlled rate of flow passes so that the flow rate of the replenisher liquid is equalized with the flow rate of the discharge liquid, the panels between the outer passages and the inner chamber being of thin wall high heat transfer construction and being specifically formed to provide a torturous path for the liquid through the inner chamber, the outer chambers also have a series of spaced divider brackets forming a torturous path through the outer passages.

  • Patent number: 3981496
Abstract: A stripping and sheet transfer roller assembly particularly constructed for use in sheet film processors and which includes a pair of cylindrical rollers positioned in closely spaced relation for driving individual sheets of film through a dryer and thereafter transfer the same laterally while in substantially upright position into a receiving bin disposed in close association to said rollers, one roller having a plurality of spaced apart soft compressible stripping and transfer elements attached in radially extending relation to the periphery of the rollers and are radially compressed when said sheet passes between said pair of rollers and which expand as said elements rotate out of contact with said sheet, the expansion of said elements stripping the sheet from the stripping roller, said expanded elements then engaging the trailing edge of each stripped sheet to transport said edge laterally and deliver the sheets into said bin in substantially upstanding position in said bin.
