  • Publication number: 20150362054
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a blade of a stator assembly. The blade includes a body having a first end and a second end. A flow direction is defined normal to the first end. The blade also includes a leading edge defined at the first end and a trailing edge defined at the second end. A first curved surface and a second curved surface are formed between the leading edge and the trailing edge of the blade. A camber line is defined through the leading edge and the trailing edge. The camber line is oriented at a negative angle relative to the flow direction.

  • Publication number: 20030064853
Abstract: A hydrodynamic retarder has an outer housing and an inner housing. A planetary carrier shaft member is rotatably supported on taper roller bearings located in the outer housing. The taper roller bearings are positioned between a shoulder on the shaft and a retaining nut or fastener which is threadably secured to the shaft. A Belleville or Belleville spring is positioned between the retaining nut and the inner race of one of the roller bearings. The retaining nut is secured such that the Belleville spring is flattened thereby applying maximum force to the inner race. The force is transmitted through the first roller bearing, the outer housing, the outer race of a second roller bearing, the second rollers and the second inner race. The Belleville spring will accommodate axial movement between the retaining nut and the bearing.

  • Patent number: 6447565
Abstract: A transmission vent assembly includes an apparatus having a central, internal passage extending therethrough. The internal passage has a larger diameter portion defining a pocket. A filter is disposed in the pocket to condense and return fluid to the transmission through the internal passage. The apparatus includes a shoulder adjacent the upper surface and a double lead thread initiating at the shoulder and terminating at a lower end. The assembly further includes a cup-shaped cap, press fittingly disposed over the apparatus. The cap and shoulder define an annular cavity and the cap and the double lead thread define first and second threaded passages. The cap includes an outward impression in the closed end which cooperates with the upper surface of the apparatus to define a connecting passage. Two bi-directional air flow paths extend between the transmission and the atmosphere through the internal passage, connecting air passage, annular air cavity, and each of the two threaded passages.
