Abstract: A display sign is provided, such as a vehicle registration plate. The display sign has data in the form of one or more numbers, letters, images and/or characters displayed thereon. At least part of the display sign is formed from or includes electroluminescent material. The display sign is connected to or is associated with a power supply means, such that when the electroluminescent material receives power from the power supply means, light is emitted from the electroluminescent material.

Abstract: A greetings card comprising at least two panels movable between a closed position wherein the panels are adjacent to each other and an open position wherein the panels are a spaced distance apart. At least one light emitting polymer (LEP) display powered by an electrical supply is provided on the card, the electrical supply typically being controlled by a switch upon manipulation of the card between said open and closed positions and/or by sensing a particular condition with at least one sensor. The illumination of the LEP display typically fades in and/or out in use.
