  • Publication number: 20200107644
Abstract: A cushioned knee separator for use by a person for placing between the person's legs when sleeping on one's side. The separator comprises an air-tight padding member and a securing member. The padding member comprises an envelope forming an air-tight enclosure, wherein the envelope comprises a pair of opposite surfaces; a membrane attached to the contacting faces and limiting relative movement of the contacting faces; filling material filling the enclosure; and a valve mounted to the envelope for controllably disrupting air tightness within the enclosure. The securing member is for securing the separator to one leg of the person. The separator is therefore adapted to maintain a distance between the person's legs thereby avoiding contacts between the knees when someone is sleeping in a side sleeping position.

  • Patent number: 6298777
Abstract: The dry printing apparatus comprises a housing defining a handle portion, a dry printing unit mounted to an open lower end of the housing, an air convection passage, and a guide member. The air convection passage extends through a space between the dry printing unit and side walls of the housing as well as through openings in a top wall of this housing. Convection air flows through the air convection passage to prevent the handle portion from being heated by the dry printing unit. The guide member is telescopically mounted in the open lower end of the housing between extended and retracted positions and is spring-biased toward the extended position. In operation, the guide member is applied to the surface to be dry printed and pressure is manually applied to the handle portion to telescopically move the housing and dry printing unit about the guide member until the dry printing unit reaches the surface to be dry printed.

  • Patent number: 6224026
Abstract: A system for supporting a user's arm, comprises an armrest. The armrest is suspended and supported from a horizontally movable structure comprising a vertically movable member through which the armrest is suspended, a counterbalancing return-force producing assembly connected to the vertically movable member to counterbalance at least in part the weight of the user's arm, and a movement-resisting assembly connected to the vertically movable member to resist to vertical movement of the vertically movable member. According to a preferred embodiment, the vertically movable member comprises a cable, the counterbalancing return-force producing assembly comprises a first, spring-loaded reel, and the movement-resisting assembly comprises a second reel on which turns of the cable are wound and provided with at least one lateral face, and at least one friction disk applied to the lateral face of the second reel to resist to vertical movement of the wire.
