Abstract: A fluid metering device including a housing, an isolated fluid conduit, a metering assembly, an electronics assembly, and a power assembly. An electronic device can be wirelessly connected to the metering device so as to quantify the fluid that is passing through the isolated fluid conduit. Alternatively, this can be performed by the electronics assembly and then transmitted to the electronic device. Portable spraying apparatuses are also disclosed and can include the fluid metering device. In example embodiments, other data can be captured and/or calculated such as sprayer locations, sprayed locations, type of fluid sprayed, images of the intended-to-be-sprayed subject, and/or other information pertinent as desired. In some example embodiments, the electronic device in combination with the fluid metering device can predict the chances of volatilization of the fluid based on specific environmental conditions and the fluid temperature. Finally, the sprayer and sprayed locations can be overlayed onto a map.

Abstract: A plant tracking apparatus, system, and method for tracking planting locations of a plurality of plants configured to be planted in a ground surface using a planting utensil having a handle, a blade, and a shaft defined between the handle and the blade is disclosed herein. The plant tracking apparatus includes a housing configured to be coupled to the planting utensil. The plant track apparatus further includes a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) sensor, a planting sensor, and a controller positioned within or coupled to the housing. The controller is configured to record location data from the GNSS sensor in response to a planting signal from the planting sensor. In certain embodiments, the controller may determine the planting signal by comparing data from the planting sensor to a predetermined motion profile.

Abstract: A roadside spray apparatus for spraying herbicides on roadsides and other right-of-ways including a spray head assembly. In example embodiments, the spray head assembly includes one or more spray nozzle assemblies for discharging a liquid. The one or more spray nozzle assemblies include a main body portion, an inner reducer portion and a secondary body portion, wherein the main body portion includes an orifice in communication with atmospheric air so as to allow for the introduction of air within the spray nozzle assembly such that the liquid is substantially oxygenated, thereby allowing for the discharging of air-filled liquid droplets with minimal atomization.
