  • Patent number: 8820835
Abstract: A reclining chair has a base coupled to a chair back. The chair back is adapted to recline from an upright position to a reclined position. To accommodate that reclining motion, the chair back includes a flex zone formed with notches extending through an inner portion of the flex zone. Those notches narrow as the chair back reclines from the upright position to the reclined position. The flex zone also includes an outer portion that is separated from the inner portion by a gap, the outer portion having one or more notches extending through the outer portion. Those notches also narrow as the chair back reclines from the upright position to the reclined position.

  • Publication number: 20110298245
Abstract: A pickup bed support structure that includes longitudinally extending frame rails to which transversely extending beams used to support the truck bed box are assembled. The beams are received below a top surface of the frame rails by forming notches or holes in the frame rails into which the beams are inserted. Alternatively, notches or holes may be provided in the transversely extending beams that receive the longitudinal extending frame rails. One method of manufacturing a pickup truck bed support structure is disclosed in which holes are provided in the longitudinally extending frame rail that receive the transversely extending beam that support the pickup truck bed. An alternative method is also disclosed in which notches are formed in the frame rails that receive the beams that are welded to the frame rails prior to assembling the pickup truck bed to the beams.

  • Publication number: 20060237095
Abstract: A packaging system is provided for storing and mixing separate ingredient components. The system includes a first bottle used for storing a first ingredient component which includes a dispensing port disposed on a top end, a mixing port disposed on a bottom end, and a seal integrated within the mixing port. The system also includes a second bottle used for storing a second component ingredient which includes a bottle neck having an opening disposed therein wherein the neck is adapted to be installed into the mixing port of the first bottle. Also, an extended tip is formed on the distal end of the bottle neck. When the bottle neck of the second bottle is installed into the mixing port of the first bottle, the seal from the first bottle is broken by the extended tip from the second bottle establishing fluid communication between the first and second bottles and allowing the ingredient components to mix.

  • Patent number: 4052778
Abstract: A procedure and apparatus for accomplishing the conditioning and placement of a plurality of wires for the simultaneous termination of the wires of a multi-pin connector. Terminal sleeves are employed to both position and lock the several wires to the multi-pin connector. The sleeves are held fixed relative to one another in an identification block and wires are threaded therethrough. When positioned, the wires are held by a wire clamp cooperating with the identification block. Simultaneous cutting and stripping of the wires may then be performed in preparation for termination with a multi-pin connector. Once prepared, the wires are positioned adjacent a row of pins on the multi-pin connector and the identification block with the sleeves enclosed is forced toward the prepared ends of the wires and onto the connector pins.
