Abstract: An appliance user interface and display is provided herein. The appliance user interface may include a substrate panel, an electromagnetic sensor, and an applied layer. The electromagnetic sensor may be positioned behind the substrate panel along the axial direction. The applied layer may be attached to the substrate panel. The applied layer may include a perforated region axially aligned with the electromagnetic sensor. The perforated region may have a deposited portion and a negative portion. The deposited portion may include a material restricting infrared light along the axial direction. The negative portion may define a transparent void through the material and permit infrared light along the axial direction.

A light emitter and a capacitive sensor are positioned on the printed circuit board. The capacitive sensor includes a pair of conductive bodies that extend between the dielectric substrate and the printed circuit board. The dielectric substrate is positioned on a cabinet such that the capacitive sensor is triggered when a user touches a front surface of the dielectric substrate and such that an appliance function indicator is illuminated at the front surface of the dielectric substrate during operation of the light emitter.

Abstract: Playground equipment may include a support structure. The support structure may include a platform and one or more supports sized and configured to support the platform at height above a support surface. The supports may include one or more generally vertical supports and/or one or more generally angled supports. A swing may be connected to the support structure. The swing may include a seat and one or more tethers. The tethers may be attached to spaced apart portions of the seat and/or to spaced apart portions of the support structure. The tethers may be sized and configured to retain the seat in a generally fixed orientation during use of the swing. The tethers may be sized and configured to help retain at least a substantial portion of the seat disposed underneath the platform during use of the swing.
