  • Publication number: 20080058739
Abstract: An absorbent article includes a liquid pervious topsheet, a liquid impervious backsheet, and an absorbent core located between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent article includes expanded starch particles to control odors. The expanded starch particles may be corn starch with an amylase content of at least 20% and a surface area of at least 100 m2/g.

  • Patent number: 6689932
Abstract: The present invention relates to absorbent articles including skin care compositions. The skin care compositions of the invention are stable on the bodyside liners of absorbent articles despite not containing an immobilizing agent. Surprisingly, the skin care compositions of the invention even demonstrate less migration away from the bodyside liner than do other compositions that contain so-called “immobilizing agents”. The compositions of the invention possess physical properties, such as melting points, viscosities and hardnesses, comparable to compositions containing immobilizing agents, making them suitable for use on absorbent articles.

  • Publication number: 20030069482
Abstract: An article for measuring external drug transfer to skin surfaces includes a high molecular weight polyolefin substrate film and a skin-adhering element attached to the polyolefin substrate film. The substrate film has a texture that simulates skin roughness and topography on the surface facing a drug delivery medium. The substrate film, skin-adhering element, and all other components of, or in contact with, the sampling article provide minimum interference with chemical analysis of the active drug being measured.
