Abstract: Disclosed herein is a modular safety rail and system for a flatbed platform, comprising first and second end post assemblies defining first and second ends of the safety rail; at least one intermediate post, each intermediate post comprising a first cable holder and a second cable holder; a cable configured to connect with the first end post assembly and the second end post assembly and configured to be removably positioned within and pass through the first cable holder and second cable holder of each intermediate post; and a cable winch connected to a first end of the cable and configured to spool and unspool the cable. Also disclosed herein are kits and methods for using the disclosed safety rail and system.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for monitoring wear in pipes, particularly irregular wear in pipelines transporting abrasive fluids. The system includes a plurality of wear sensors spaced along a length of a pipe. Each wear sensor is configured to detect wear in a wall of the pipe. The system further includes at least one remotely accessible server operatively connected to the sensors for receiving and monitoring data output from said sensors. The server is configured to alert an operator when said data received from any one of the plurality of sensors is indicative of irregular wear in the wall of the pipe.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a modular cargo storage rack and system for a vehicle cargo area, comprising a spanner assembly and at least one at least one carrier module releasably coupled to said spanner assembly and configured to securely store or carry cargo, the carrier module including a plurality of guide posts, each guide post including a channel for receiving a guiding rail; a plurality of guiding rails, at least one guiding rail configured to cooperatively slide back and forth in a channel along a predetermined travel path associated with orientation of said channel; at least one carrier support including a floor roller, each carrier support connected to at least one guiding rail and configured to move back and forth along said predetermined travel path; and a cargo holding apparatus, such as a rack or compartment. Also disclosed herein are methods for using the disclosed cargo storage devices and system.
