Abstract: The present invention is specifically related to the application of photographic imagery onto pieces of confetti and more generally to a technology and process which affords the creation of customized products using digital media and the interactive creation of manufacturing specifications. The invention presents a method for mediating a non-interactive process for the transfer of queued customizing content and specifications to the remote manufacturing server concurrent with the interactive selection of content and derivation of manufacturing specifications. The method of mediation maximizes bandwidth utilization while minimizing interactive transfer latencies. The invention also teaches methods by which the full range of image manipulation processes required to specify and preview the product are accomplished via client side routines and locally stored source material such that remote server intervention and network latencies need not be incurred to facilitate the user specification of the product.

Abstract: A method of generating a correlation between a plurality of sets of educational requirements and learning activities, and identifying the educational requirements to which a learning component of the learning activities is correlated. Teachers and authors accessing the correlating system are able to author and select learning components to be correlated to the plurality of educational requirements sets. An educational requirements set can be a set of state educational standards, a set of school district educational standards or a set of corporate training or certification requirements. The correlation of educational components to the grouping of educational requirements and of learning components to a set of educational components are generated and stored by a server, preferably accessible over the internet through the public switched telephone network.

Abstract: Customized confetti and a method for producing customized confetti are disclosed in which customized images are transferred onto one or more faces of the confetti. Images from a set of images are selected and then transferred onto material, which is then cut into small confetti-like pieces. Electronically generated representations of confetti for display on electronic display devices is also disclosed.
