    Abstract: A method and a device are provided for determining a scanning dimension of a scanned body. The device includes a light source, a detecting unit, and a signal processing unit. The method includes steps of (a) providing an initial optical signal, (b) receiving the initial optical signal and generating an initial detecting signal in response to the initial optical signal, (c) receiving the initial optical signal and generating a complex detecting signal according to the scanning dimension of the scanned body, and (d) determining the scanning dimension of the scanned body by calculating the initial detecting signal and the complex detecting signal.
