    Abstract: A shaping tool is constructed for producing a substantially shell-shaped, fiber-reinforced plastic part. The shaping toll includes and upper die and a lower die. A material blank made substantially of fibrous material is placed into the lower die the shaping tool brought into shaping engagement with the material blank. At least one of the dies is segmented into shaping segments for being brought into shaping engagement with the material blank in segments or in groups of segments.
