  • Patent number: 11071180
Abstract: A lighting unit which includes a driver, a light source and a buffer capacitor of an auxiliary circuit (such as an independent active electronic circuit). The charging current allowed to flow to the buffer capacitor is controlled based on sensed currents flowing to the light source thereby to control the charging current of the buffer capacitor. In this way, large inrush currents caused by the use of a large buffer capacitor at the output of the driver can be avoided and the triggering of a fault detection mode within the driver can be prevented. Furthermore this circuit ensures that the driver is operated within the specification limits during start-up.

  • Patent number: 10895624
Abstract: Methods for distinguishing devices (1, 2) receive position information from position sensors (13, 23) defining positions of the devices (1, 2), and receive direction information from direction sensors (14, 24) defining directions of the devices (1, 2), and analyze the direction information. The devices (1, 2) can be distinguished from each other, even in case they are located closer to each other than the accuracies of their position sensors (13, 23). First devices (1) comprise first drivers (11) for driving first loads (15), and first controllers (12) for controlling the first drivers (11) and for receiving first position signals from first position sensors (13) and for receiving first direction signals from first direction sensors (14). The first direction sensors (14) may comprise first light detectors (16).

  • Patent number: 10742510
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for commissioning of nodes of a network. The method comprises the steps of (S10) receiving, at a first node (30a) of the network, at least one indication message including identification information of a second node (30b) of the network; (S20) receiving, at the first node (30a), parameter information indicating a parameter sensed with at least one parameter sensor associated with the first node (30a); (S30) determining whether the at least one indication message and the parameter information temporarily correlate; and (S40), if a correlation is determined, adding correlation information about the second node (30b) to a register table of the first node (30a).

  • Patent number: 9532433
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for controlling a lighting fixture utilizing a communication protocol transmitted over the power line that feeds the lighting fixture. Data may be transmitted to a plurality of lighting fixtures (40) via altering the output voltage transmitted to the lighting fixture through switching of a transformer (120) connected to the output voltage. Data may be received at a lighting fixture (40) via receiving an encoded output voltage and comparing the voltage level of a plurality of sine cycle periods of the output voltage to determine an incoming data packet. One or more aspects of the lighting fixture (40) may be controlled based on the received data.

  • Patent number: 9220152
Abstract: Methods and apparatus related to controlling an apparatus such as a lighting fixture utilizing a communication protocol transmitted over the power line that feeds the lighting fixture. For example, in some embodiments data is transmitted over a three-phase power system via switching of a transformer electrically coupled to the three-phase power system. Optionally, a single transformer may be utilized to transmit data to at least on apparatus coupled to a first phase line of a three-phase power system and to at least one apparatus coupled to a second phase line of the three-phase power system.

  • Patent number: 8115410
Abstract: In an illumination system (10), comprising: a lamp assembly (14) with a plurality of lamps (12A, 12B, 12C) and associated lamp drivers (13A, 13B, 13C); a common controller (15) for generating control signals (?1, ?2, ?3) for the lamp drivers (13A, 13B, 13C); a memory (18) containing a color table with color points; the color points of the color table are located in a two-dimensional plane corresponding to a ceiling of a color space. Perimeter color points (PC) are located on the borderline of said plane, in groups of equidistant color points, as measured in a perceptual uniform second color space. Equidistant spoke color points (SC) are located on constant hue lines (42) in said plane, constant hue line connecting one of said perimeter color points (PC) to a white point (W).
