  • Patent number: 4998037
Abstract: An electron tube comprising a stack of at least one perforate plate-shaped insulating element and at least one perforate plate-shaped metal electrode structure, the insulating element comprising a core and being provided with an aluminium layer at least on a side facing the electrode structure, at least the outer layer of the aluminium layer being oxidized, and the coefficients of thermal expansion of the core and the electrode structure being at least substantially equal. In this manner, the thermal stresses occurring between the insulating element and the electrode structure during firing are reduced, so that the risk of their displacement relative to each other is reduced.
