  • Patent number: 6340101
Abstract: In a process for dispensing a powdery product (P) from a container (1) with a dispensing nozzle (4) aimed downwards, a flexible section (3) of the container (1) is deformed at least near the dispensing nozzle (3). This is achieved preferably by a movement of the container relative to the dispensing nozzle, in a direction with a component at a right angle to the dispensing nozzle. The movement of the container (1) and the dispensing of a portion of product from the dispensing nozzle (4) can take place immediately after one another. The invention also comprises a device for dispensing a powdery product (P), with which the process can be carried out and bridge and tunnel formation in the powdery product is opposed effectively.

  • Patent number: 6073910
Abstract: A coupling for connecting a first pipe part and a second pipe part comprises a first coupling part and a second coupling part, a shut-off valve arranged in the first coupling part, and locking structure. The locking structure can move with respect to one another between an unlocked position and a locked position, in the manner of a bayonet coupling. An actuator for actuating the shut-off valve is arranged in the second coupling part. The locking structure and the actuator are designed in such a manner that the shut-off valve can only be opened by means of the actuator when the locking structure is in the locked position, and in that the coupling can only be uncoupled when the shut-off valve is in the closed position. The actuator and the locking structure can be actuated separately.

  • Patent number: 5511062
Abstract: An apparatus having a frame (1) carrying a turntable (3) for supporting the information carrier, which turntable is rotatable about an axis of rotation (3A), a slide (9), which is movable between two end positions, with a scanning unit, guide spindles (5, 7) and a linear motor unit (17, 19) for the slide, and an electrically energizable clamping unit (21). In the non-energized condition the clamping unit clamps the slide in any arbitrary stationary position of the slide along its path and in the energized condition it does not clamp the slide. During operation of the device a control unit at least substantially simultaneously turns on a first energizing current to the motor drive unit and a second energizing current to the clamping unit at the beginning of a displacement of the slide and at least substantially simultaneously turns off the first energizing current and the second energizing current at the end of the displacement.

  • Patent number: 5093823
Abstract: A cassette accommodates an information disc (1) which is rotatable inside a housing (2) and which can be read by means of a pick-up which is movable over the disc surface through an aperture (6) in a main wall (3). To enable the information disc to be exchanged rapidly and conveniently, the disc receiving space in the housing is readily accessible in that a shutter (16), which includes at least one of the transverse walls (4, 5, 17) of the housing, can be moved to an open position.

  • Patent number: 5062100
Abstract: A disc cassette (1) has an outer case (4) with a front opening which is closed by a shutter (8) and latched in the case by a movable latching device. The apparatus has a device to release the shutter of an inserted disc cassette and with the aid of a withdrawal mechanism withdraws the shutter from the case when the case is withdrawn from the apparatus. The movable latching device for latching the shutter (8) in the case (4) comprises a movable part (14) of the case, and the release device of the apparatus comprises an insertion element (18A, 18B) which penetrates between the shutter and the case when the loaded disc cassette is inserted, thereby moving the movable part of the case to a free position in which the shutter is no longer latched in the case.

  • Patent number: 4761696
Abstract: A helical scan head drum assembly includes upper and lower drums having an aligned guide surface. The upper and lower drums can be easily separated from each other to install or replace a head support between the drums, and reassembled without loss of alignment of the circumferential guide surface. Each drum has three positioning elements formed in a wall portion, arranged such that the positioning elements of the two drums engage each other pairwise to form a statically defined alignment of the two drums. The fixing element presses the two drums together at the location of the positioning elements to fix them in place.
