  • Publication number: 20240009827
Abstract: A handheld electric tool has a housing having a receptacle for arranging a replaceable battery pack. The battery pack includes an insertion section and a grip section and can be inserted along an insertion axis into the receptacle. The receptacle includes an insertion receiving region formed to be compatible with the insertion section of the battery pack and a grip section receiving region. The insertion section of the battery pack when inserted into the receptacle is arranged within an outer wall of the housing. The grip section of the battery pack when inserted into the receptacle is arranged outside the outer wall of the housing. The outer wall delimits the grip section receiving region in a first section and in a second section in a radial direction with respect to the insertion axis. A system includes a handheld electric tool and a battery pack.

  • Patent number: 11585349
Abstract: A blower unit for a portable handheld blower apparatus has a housing section and a tubular receiving space, formed in the housing section, with a first axial end and a second axial end and with a longitudinal center axis. Arranged in the receiving space of the housing section is an axial blower for generating a blower air flow, the axial blower being driven by a drive motor. The receiving space has an intake opening at its first axial end and a discharge opening at its second axial end. In order to reduce operating noise, an air guide plate is arranged at an axial distance in front of the intake opening, the air guide plate having external dimensions that are greater than the external dimensions of the intake opening. An annular gap that supplies intake air is formed between the air guide plate and an outer periphery of the housing section.

  • Publication number: 20190272683
Abstract: A device identifies operating data of a motor-driven tool. The device includes an identifying and/or evaluating device, an operating data memory unit, a communication interface, a housing, and an elastic element. The housing accommodates an electrical energy storage device and has an open and closed condition. In the open condition, the electrical energy storage device is insertable or removable. In the closed condition, the elastic element is configured to fix the electrical energy storage device by applying pressure along the insertion and removal direction of the energy storage device. The force amounts to a value of the mass of the storage device multiplied by at minimum 1 N per g.

  • Patent number: 10107292
Abstract: A vacuum/blower device is provided with a drive motor and a fan operatively connected to the drive motor and driven by the drive motor. A switching device is provided that switches the vacuum/blower device from a vacuum operation to a blower operation and from the blower operation to the vacuum operation. A suction pipe with an intake opening is provided, wherein, in the vacuum operation of the vacuum/blower device, a suction air flow is sucked in from the intake opening toward the fan in a first flow direction. The switching device switches a rotational direction of the fan, wherein the fan in the blower operation conveys a blower air flow through the suction pipe in a second flow direction that is oriented from the fan toward the intake opening.

  • Patent number: 9854746
Abstract: A backpack power tool has drive motor and blower mounted on a backpack frame. The bottom plate of the backpack frame has a passage for working air sucked in by the blower. Ribs on the bottom side of the bottom plate have end faces forming a contact surface for leaves aspirated in blower operation against the bottom plate. The bottom plate has intake openings positioned between the end faces of the ribs in the contact surface and fluidically connected to the passage. Working air is sucked in through the intake openings and the passage. The bottom plate has an intake surface that is the sum of surfaces of all intake openings and of all end faces of ribs with a width of less than 10 mm positioned between the intake openings. The intake surface amounts to at least 50% of the surface of the bottom side of the bottom plate.

  • Patent number: 9815188
Abstract: A handle for a work apparatus has an actuation member for controlling the rpm of a drive motor of the work apparatus. The actuation member is mounted in the handle and has a pressure surface for the fingers of a user hand. In an initial position, the actuation member protrudes with its pressure surface beyond the grip surface of the handle and, in a position for continuous operation of the motor, has dipped into the grip surface so that the pressure surface of the actuation member lies at the level of the grip surface. A recess extends in the longitudinal direction of the handle and is formed in the grip surface. The recess overlaps the pressure surface of the actuation member so that the actuation member is displaced into the handle via the recess to a boost position whereat the pressure surface lies within the grip surface.

  • Patent number: 9737182
Abstract: A handheld work apparatus has a blower tube with a blower arranged therein. The blower conveys a working air flow through the blower tube and has an impeller rotatably driven by an electric drive motor. A diffuser is mounted in a stationary manner in the blower tube downstream of the impeller. The motor is arranged in a motor compartment in the blower tube. Downstream of the diffuser, the work apparatus has an extraction opening for cooling air for the drive motor, via which an annular space, formed between the blower tube and the motor compartment, is connected to the motor compartment. The motor compartment has an outflow opening for cooling air arranged upstream of the extraction opening. The extraction opening and the outflow opening are arranged so that during operation the pressure at the extraction opening is greater than the pressure at the outflow opening.

  • Patent number: 9587648
Abstract: A blower has a blower tube and a fan unit that conveys an air flow through the blower tube. The fan unit has a fan having a fan axis. The fan conveys the air flow in the direction of the fan axis. The air flow exits the blower tube in an outflow direction at a tube aperture. The handle has on its lower side a grasping point, which in the operating position of the blower, lies on a vertical axis through the blower's center of gravity. The tube aperture has a center axis that is oriented in the outflow direction. So that the forces received by the user at the handle during operation can be made smaller, it is provided for the spacing from the center axis of the tube aperture to the grasping point to be smaller than the spacing from the fan axis to the grasping point.
