Publication number: 20260201823Abstract: A method for operating an aqueous urea solution device having a conveying device withs a pump. (The solution is conveyed from a tank via intake line, through the conveying device to an injector arranged on an exhaust-gas line via a pressure line. A bypass leads to the tank from the pressure. In a first conveying process, the pump is operated in a first conveying direction to convey solution to the injector. After the first conveying process, the injector is closed and the pump is operated in a second conveying direction and the injector is opened for a period of time and air is sucked into the pressure line through the injector into the conveying device. Subsequently, the pump is operated in the first conveying direction while the injector is closed, and air sucked into the conveying device is pushed along the bypass to the tank.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 30, 2023Publication date: July 16, 2026Inventors: Cornelius KÖHLER, Peter BAUER, Tobias LUEBBERT

Patent number: 12287652Abstract: A fluid-conveying device for conveying a fluid, such as in particular water, from a tank. The fluid can be conveyed along a dosing line to an injection point by a pump, wherein the dosing line is attached at a pressure side of the pump by a connection plug which is attached to an outlet line. The fluid-conveying device has at least one first valve, which is preloaded by a spring and which is configured to prevent a fluid flow from the dosing line to the outlet line and which is furthermore configured to permit the fluid flow from the outlet line to the dosing line if a predefined minimum pressure p1 is reached on that side of the first valve which faces toward the outlet opening.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 2022Date of Patent: April 29, 2025Assignee: Vitesco Technologies GmbHInventors: Cornelius Köhler, Peter Bauer, Jan Hodgson, Tobias Luebbert

Patent number: 12060823Abstract: A method for operating a conveying device for an aqueous urea solution in a motor vehicle, having a pump for conveying the aqueous urea solution, wherein the aqueous urea solution is conveyed from a tank along a pressure line to an injector, wherein the injector is arranged on an exhaust gas line and is designed to inject the aqueous urea solution into the exhaust gas line. The conveying speed of the pump is controlled depending on the opening operations and closing operations of the injector and/or the pressure conditions resulting therefrom in the conveying section between the pump and the injector.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2021Date of Patent: August 13, 2024Assignee: VITESCO TECHNOLOGIES GMBHInventors: Tobias Luebbert, Peter Bauer, Cornelius Köhler, Youness Idar

Publication number: 20240003280Abstract: A method and device for controlling a delivery device for an aqueous urea solution in a motor vehicle, with a tank, with a suction line, with a pump, with a pressure line, and with an injector, wherein the aqueous urea solution can be conveyed from the tank along the suction line, through the pump, through the pressure line, and to the injector. The method performs a rinsing procedure of at least the pressure line, wherein the pump is operated counter to its usual conveying direction during the rinsing procedure and the injector is closed in a first phase of the method, wherein the pump is operated for an operating duration t1 and at a speed of rotation n1 during the first phase of the method.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 30, 2021Publication date: January 4, 2024Inventors: Tobias LUEBBERT, Peter BAUER, Cornelius KÖHLER, Youness IDAR
