    Abstract: A snap hook with front and rear locks that must be disengaged for the gate to open. The body has a base and a J-shaped hook. A gate has two parallel, spaced fingers extending from an end of a gate arm. As the gate pivots between open and closed positions, a stop pin extending between the arms and through a curved slot in the body slides within the curved slot. A front lock pivots between a locking position, where shoulders in the gate arms abut an edge on the front lock, preventing the gate from pivoting open, and an unlocking position, where the shoulder does not abut the front lock edge. The rear lock pivots between a locking position, where the curved slots on the rear lock are not aligned with body curved slot, and an unlocking position, where the curved slots are aligned, and the gate can pivot open.

    Abstract: A rope ring with a wear indicator. The typical ring is toroidal in shape. The wear indicator is a pair of opposed annular grooves in the side walls optionally spaced from the hole edge. As the ring wears, the hole diameter increases at points along either hole edge. In one method, maximum wear occurs when the hole wall edges form one or more indentations in either groove. In another method, maximum wear occurs when either groove is severed at one or more points on the groove. Optionally, the grooves are filled with a coloring agent to provide greater visibility to the wear indicator.

The perpendicular edges are slot edges for vertical slots and the parallel edges are slot edges for horizontal slots. There is a tab space below each slot edge. To engage the latch, the slider is raised until the tabs are aligned with the associated tab spaces. As the door is closing, the tabs fit through the tab spaces. When the door is closed, the slider is lowered until halted by a latch stop wherein the slot edge is transversely within the slot.

    Abstract: A trigger assembly for a projectile launcher with a hinged cuff that attaches to the launcher pole using a quick-release mechanism. A trigger mechanism has a elongated finger, one end of which is bent 90° to a stem that is pivotally mounted. One end of a release bar is pivotally mounted to the stem bend such that pulling the trigger pulls the release bar backwardly. A pivotally-mounted catch has an arm that forms a notch for the launcher pouch loop. The catch is held in the capture position by the release arm holding against a ledge on the catch. Pulling the trigger causes the release arm to release the catch. A pivotally-mounted safety latch has a finger with a notch that hooks onto a pin in the trigger to prevent pulling the trigger. A latch release lever enables the user to disengage the latch from the pin.

The apparatus includes a push switch for sensing when the lid has been closed, and another push switch for sensing when a bin has been locked in the apparatus. Thus, when the lid and bin are closed and locked, a child cannot reach into the apparatus and the seal can be applied safely without fear of burning a child.
