  • Patent number: 7463256
Abstract: Autophase adjustment is initiated in a display device that digitally displays analog video signals. The autophase adjustment is initiated based on monitoring of at least one of the horizontal and vertical synchronization signal pulse rates and polarity. When a change is detected in either of the horizontal and vertical synchronization pulses, an autophase adjustment is automatically initiated. Correct phase settings are obtained from a table of settings cross referenced by the horizontal and vertical synchronization pulse rates and polarity.

  • Patent number: 6882334
Abstract: A system and method for notifying a user of a loss of wireless communication between a host device and at least one peripheral device is described. The system comprises a host device, at least one peripheral device, means for detecting a loss of wireless connection between the host device and the at least one peripheral device and an alarm notifying the user of the loss of wireless connection between the host device and the at least one peripheral device. A method for notifying a user of a loss of wireless communication between a host device and at least one peripheral device is described, the method comprising detecting a loss of wireless communication between a host device and at least one peripheral device, signaling software controlling a transceiver that the loss of communication has been detected and transmitting a message to alert the user of the loss of wireless communication.

  • Patent number: 6848389
Abstract: A shock force indicating device for measuring and visually displaying the extent of a shock force received by an article during handling of the article is disclosed. The device has a cavity formed between a base member and a top member having a raised portion. A bearing is disposed within the cavity. In a preferred embodiment, the top member and the base member provide a compressive force to the bearing such that the bearing is held in place until the device is subjected to a shock force greater than a predetermined threshold. The base member has a pressure sensitive material which provides a visually identifiable path which traces the movement of the bearing when the bearing moves in response to a shock force to the device. The base member may have indicating marks for representing a scale with which to measure a component of a force to the device. The top member is transparent for easy viewing of the indicating marks.

  • Patent number: 5266893
Abstract: The capstan and drum servo systems of a VCR are tested by processing the capstan reference signal and the drum reference signal in a microprocessor and displaying information which is useful in diagnosing any defects in either of the servo systems.

  • Patent number: 5267319
Abstract: A composite test signal which consists of the combination of four audio modulated carriers is developed and injected into the stereo audio circuits of a Beta type VCR. The audio output of the VCR is observed or listened to in order to determine if the circuits downstream of the point of injection of the test signal are operating correctly.

  • Patent number: 5247350
Abstract: The chroma circuits of a VCR are tested by replacing the video signal from the video heads of the VCR with a composite signal from a test pattern signal developed by a test instrument, which composite signal includes a chroma signal which is phase rotated in response to a chroma reference signal from the VCR. The chroma reference signal from the VCR is used to control the chroma signal in the composite test pattern signal.
