Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for protecting standard water faucets from unauthorized use. The water faucet anti-theft device protects water faucets from unauthorized use by locking a rigid housing around said facet to prevent unauthorized activation of the faucet's spigot. The water faucet anti-theft device, in the preferred embodiment, comprises three housing segments which latchably engage one another around the faucet to form an assembled housing, which may be locked in its assembled state. The apparatus includes padlocks, and other locking mechanisms, necessary to serve a variety of needs.
