  • Publication number: 20080009559
Abstract: A particle composition comprising a water-soluble carrier such as starch, a structuring agent such as an ester terminated polyamide and fragrance or flavor is disclosed. Methods of making and using the particles are also disclosed. The particles are desirable for providing fragrance to various products such as powdered detergents.
    Type: Application
    Filed: September 19, 2007
    Publication date: January 10, 2008
    Inventors: Lewis Popplewell, Cory Bryant
  • Publication number: 20060240076
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a method for preparing a hydrogel in dry conditions that contains high loading of the active ingredient, preferably flavor or fragrance molecules. The hydrogel compositions are initially in solid form and preferably extruded and sized to form the desired shape and size. The actual hydrogel is formed in-situ from the uptake of water that is present in the suspending medium. The hydrogels have the following properties: contain of up to 40% of active ingredient prior to the water uptake; retain color and particle identity in high moisture systems; and retain color and particle identity at elevated temperature.
    Type: Application
    Filed: October 7, 2005
    Publication date: October 26, 2006
Inventors: Lulu Henson, Lewis Popplewell, June Qi-Zheng, Adam Toth, Cory Bryant, Keith Hans, Franklin Pringgosusanto

  • Publication number: 20050113267
Abstract: Described is a process for imparting a fragrance to, and/or eliminating a malodour from solid or semi-solid surfaces through the use of polymeric particles. The polymeric particles have infrastructures composed of ethylene-vinyl copolymers, polymethyl methacrylate, polystyrene and/or ethylcellulose. Also described are aqueous treatment compositions for use in such processes.
