Abstract: In embodiments presented herein, a chess-like game apparatus and methods of play are provided. In accordance to embodiments, an element of chance is introduced by a roll of a tetrahedron-shaped die that adds to the strategic play of the traditional rules of chess. The game board may accommodate from 2 to 4 players adding an additional element of complexity and potential collaboration between players.
