  • Patent number: 11913536
Abstract: The present invention teaches a gearbox expansion cap that allows a gearbox unit to breathe to atmosphere while preventing the ingress of water or other materials into the gearbox or gearbox oil. According to a first preferred embodiment, the expansion cap of the present invention includes a pressure relief plug to control gearbox pressures. Additionally, the present invention teaches air channels enclosed within a gearbox casting which mate with air channels provided within the expansion cap to channel air from the expansion cap into the atmosphere.

  • Publication number: 20210348644
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved lug nut protection system that includes a keyed lug nut and a specialty tool for installation and removal. According to a preferred embodiment, the present invention includes a protective sleeve which slides over the wheel end of a given lug nut, and which is held in place by a retaining ring or the like. According to a further preferred embodiment, the protective sleeve preferably freely rotates and prevents common tools (i.e., pipe wrenches) from removing the lug nut thus preventing theft of the wheel/tire. According to a further preferred embodiment, the lug nut of the present invention is preferably recessed within the protective sleeve and preferably includes a keyed head which requires a specialty tool to remove the lug nut. Preferably, the specialty tool of the present invention fits inside the sleeve and over the top of the custom lug nut design.

  • Patent number: 10704626
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for providing drive shaft braking for an irrigation machine. According to an exemplary preferred embodiment, the present invention includes a system for providing drive shaft braking during the operation of an irrigation machine where the irrigation machine includes a drive system having a drive motor and a drive shaft. According to a preferred embodiment, the system in accordance with the present invention preferably includes a cam attached to the drive shaft, an extension arm having a first securing point, a securing arm having a second securing point and a spring attached between the first securing point and the second securing point. According to a further preferred embodiment, the system of the present invention preferably further includes a follower mechanism secured to the extension arm, which applies continual frictional pressure to the drive shaft in response to the force applied by the spring to the follower through the extension arm.
