  • Patent number: 10545758
Abstract: Input data can be split into data components that can each have a length equal to a machine word size of a processor capable of parallel processing. Hash components can be selected to have a length equal to the length of the data components. A bitwise hashing function can be performed, in which each data component is hashed with a respective different one of the hash components. A representation of the hash components can be output as the hash. The bitwise hashing function can include an exclusive-or operation and a multiplication and can be a modified Fowler-Noll-Vo hashing function, such as a modified FNV-1a function.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 27, 2014
Date of Patent: January 28, 2020

  • Patent number: 8701000
Abstract: Methods and systems for managing open documents are disclosed. Document representations are displayed in a carousel display. Each of the representations displays a document viewport portion of content from a corresponding open document. Upon determining a first gesture associated with a selected representation, a full view of the document viewport portion of the open document corresponding to the selected representation is displayed. The content of the open document displayed in the document viewport portion may be adjusted based upon a user action in the open document. Upon determining a second gesture, the full view of the document viewport portion is closed and the adjusted content is displayed as the document viewport portion in the carousel display. A greater portion of the open document than what is visible in the document viewport portion is displayed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 26, 2011
Date of Patent: April 15, 2014
    Assignee: Google Inc.

  • Patent number: 8542207
Abstract: Methods and systems for receiving an erasure gesture input and accordingly deleting content in a viewable area of a multi-touch input display device are disclosed. A touch gesture can be detected on a touch screen. One or more direction changes associated with the touch gesture can be detected and the angle of each of the direction changes can be determined to meet a predetermined threshold. The touch gesture can be detected as no longer touching the touch screen and a polygon can be generated based on each of the direction changes associated with the touch gesture.
