Abstract: Methods for assessing microbiota are disclosed. An example method for assessing microbiota may include obtaining a fecal sample from a patient, quantifying the relative abundance of bacteria from a selected group of taxonomic classes in the fecal sample, calculating a microbiome health index based on the relative abundance of bacteria from the selected group of taxonomic classes, and correlating the microbiome health index with a medical condition of the patient.

Abstract: A bottle for baby formula that includes: a main liquid portion; a formula portion attached to the liquid portion, where the formula portion includes an infant formula for consumption and is adapted for removal; an attachment means that provides a means to attach the formula portion to the liquid portion of the bottle; a nipple; and a removable cap, where the removable cap covers the nipple. Preferably, the attachment means is a threaded connection and the liquid portion includes a curved outer surface. The infant formula may be a premixed powder mixable with water.

Abstract: Iduronic acid (IdoUA)-free heparan sulfate (HS)-like compounds are provided. Also provided are methods of synthesizing IdoUA-free HS-like compounds. The methods can include providing at least one O-sulfotransferase (OST) enzyme and a reaction mixture comprising 3?-phosphoadenosine 5?-phosphosulfate (PAPS); and incubating a polysaccharide substrate with the at least one OST and the reaction mixture, whereby the HS-like compounds are synthesized. Also disclosed are methods of synthesizing a library of HS-like compounds and methods of determining the mechanism of activity of HS-like compounds.

Abstract: A method to access and use an integrated web site from a mobile environment is disclosed. The method includes communicating voice activated commands, using voice recognition technology, to an integrated web site via a wireless communication network and a global informational network. The integrated web site comprises a network-based media station integrated with a global search engine. The voice activated commands are used to access the integrated web site, initiate the transmission of streaming digital media content from the media station to a wireless mobile network terminal, and perform key word searches of the global informational network using the global search engine.

Abstract: Methods to adapt a user interface view, provided by an integrated media/search web site via a global informational network, based on a user's lifestyle are disclosed. The methods include populating a user interface view of the integrated web site with a first set of links to the global informational network, wherein the integrated web site integrates a streaming digital media provider station with a global search engine. A user selects a link from the first set of links or performs a key word search using the global search engine. The user interface view is then re-populated with an updated set of links to the global informational network based on demographic and psychographic associations made by the global search engine in response to at least the most recently selected link, the most recent key word search, or the most recent streaming media content. If a new link or a new key word search is performed, the user interface view is again re-populated with an updated set of links.

Abstract: A method to promote branded products and/or services is disclosed. The method includes integrating a brand-specific graphical user interface with a global informational networked-based media station resulting in an integrated web site. The integrated web site is accessible via a global informational network (e.g., the Internet) using a personal computer (PC) system connected to the global informational network. The brand-specific graphical user interface is displayed on a screen of the PC system to a user and streaming digital media content (provided by the network-based station) is played on the PC system.

Abstract: A method to generate revenue for an Internet broadcasting station is disclosed. The method includes providing audio programming content via the Internet broadcasting station over the Internet and providing an Internet search engine as part of the Internet broadcasting station such that a user of the Internet broadcasting station may search for web sites on the Internet without the audio programming content being interrupted. Also, the method includes paying a provider of the Internet broadcasting station a predetermined monetary amount from a sponsor of the Internet broadcasting station every time a user of the Internet broadcasting station goes to a web site of the sponsor using the Internet search engine.
