  • Publication number: 20240204741
Abstract: A method of equalising a signal derived from an input device, the method comprising: receiving the signal; applying an order-statistic filter to the signal in the frequency domain to generate a statistically filtered signal; equalising the received signal based on the statistically filtered signal to generate an equalised signal.

  • Patent number: 5722207
Abstract: A foldable nail fin for a window comprising an inner end which is normally positioned in a kerf formed in the window frame. The nail fin is normally positioned in a substantially flush condition with respect to the window frame. At the building site, the nail fin may be folded from its substantially flush position to an outwardly extending position so that the nail fin may be secured to a building surface extending around a window opening formed therein. The folding of the nail fin is enhanced through the use of a fold line formed in the nail fin which is located closely adjacent the inner end thereof.

  • Patent number: 5264997
Abstract: A lamp assembly (10) for use with equipment such as construction vehicles and heavy trucks that are subjected to prolonged, intense vibrations. The lamp assembly of this invention includes a socket (14) formed by a shell (42). A sealed enclosure, in the form of a lamp housing (12), is releasably secured in the shell. The light source, such as a gas-discharge tube (16) or a set of LEDs (72) is located inside the lamp housing. A transformer primary winding (20), which is attached to a power source (56), is attached to the outside of the shell. A transformer secondary winding (22) connected across the light source is located inside the lamp housing. The secondary winding is located so that the lamp housing is seated in the socket, adjacent the primary winding. When a voltage is applied across the primary winding, an inductive voltage develops across the secondary winding.

  • Patent number: 4993188
Abstract: A single hung window jamblinder is utilized in combination with a window frame having a pair of vertical jambs, the jambs having a vertical, generally T-shaped pocket therein. The jambliner includes an elongated channel member having a base portion and a pair of upstanding sides, and a pair of leg portions mounted on the channel member sides which will receive the stile of a sash and allow for slidable movement of the sash therealong. A resilient vinyl layer is secured along the channel base, and is wider than the channel base so as to protrude beyond each side of the base. The vinyl layer will have a width substantially equal to the width of the jamb pocket to retain the jambliner in position in the jamb. A resiliently compressible sponge-like pad is mounted on the vinyl layer, and is thick enough to bias the vinyl layer against the edges of the jamb pocket so as to prevent airflow between the jamb pocket and the exterior of the jamb.

  • Patent number: 4745530
Abstract: A light unit having a lower plastic base which is adapted to be fixedly mounted to the exterior of a vehicle, and an upper globe which is screwed to the base. Located inside the light unit is a horizontal circuit board which is connected to the floor of the base by a number of upstanding fasteners. The floor of the plastic base is melded to the metal fasteners each of which includes an upper shaft portion to which the circuit board is secured in electrical contact, and a lower head portion which is located outside the base and which is connected to the vehicle electrical supply to provide electrical power to a light tube inside the globe. The circuit board is removed from the fasteners without having to remove the base from the vehicle or without having to disconnect the electrical wires from the fasteners.
