  • Patent number: 11659059
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for filtering management application instances intended to manage hardware in a system, such as configuring a computing component. Filtering of the management application instances can be performed by a filtering proxy application configured to operatively sit between each management application instance and a management interface of the hardware. Filtering the management application instances may include substituting values or attributes in/transforming requests, responses, state information, event information, so that it appears to the computing component and each of the management application instances as if each of the management application instances has exclusive control of the computing component.

  • Publication number: 20200401494
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling one or more visual indicators, such as unit identification devices (UIDs), are provided. Control of such visual indicators allows lighting sequences to be displayed vis-à-vis the visual indicators in a data center or similar environment including multiple hardware devices or units, such as server blades in multiple chassis enclosures in a data center. In this way, users such as data center administrators, information technology (IT) personnel, etc. can be alerted to hardware events that impact hardware devices or units, such as hardware faults. The visual indicators can be controlled in such a way that animated lighting sequences can be used to guide users to the hardware devices or units experiencing the hardware event(s).

  • Patent number: 10761857
Abstract: In one example, a non-transitory computer readable medium for hardware management includes instructions to generate an instruction volume by copying a master volume, wherein the instruction volume is a computing device image, execute a set of scripts to alter the instruction volume based on a profile for a computing device, and deploy the instruction volume to the computing device to configure the computing device based on the profile for the computing device.

  • Publication number: 20060130150
Abstract: Systems, methodologies, media, and other embodiments associated with context-sensitive rights-varying authorization are described. One exemplary system embodiment includes a logic configured to establish an authorization space. The example system may also include a logic configured to identify an access mechanism employed to interact with a resource and an effective rights logic configured to establish an effective set of access rights for an interaction with the resource based, at least in part, on the access mechanism employed to interact with the resource.
